Israel inflicted nakba on my family in 1948. During #GazaGenocide, it killed my brother & cousins & rendered my family homeless after destroying their homes.

This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

🚨Here I thoroughly debunk Israel's claim that 170 slain journalists were "terrorists." I checked every single entry on that list & every "evidence" the IDF provided. I was startled by how clumsy, shameless & sloppy their work is! 972mag.com/israeli-army-gaza…

"I don’t know how Israel could have sat on Hamas’s 40-page battle plan for over a year -- and still called October 7 an unforeseeable surprise. "I don’t know why IOF border surveillance operators who repeatedly raised red flags about Hamas training for an attack were ignored -- and in some cases threatened with court-martial. "I don’t know why Netanyahu never briefed Israel's security chiefs about the explicit warnings he got from both the UAE and Egypt about a major Hamas operation before October 7. "I don’t know why we were told Hamas targeted Nova -- when Israeli investigations concluded that Hamas had no prior intelligence about the festival and had not planned to attack it . . . Incredible how a certain country/perpetrator is never mentioned in these headlines.

To commit the most unspeakable atrocities in Gaza, one of the worst crimes in human history, Israel and its apologists manufactured consent by promoting atrocity propaganda. The Hamas rape hoax was at the center of this campaign. Many journalists parroted it rather than doing the job of debunking it:
NY Times' Hamas rape hoax exposed @MaxBlumenthal and @aaronjmate methodically debunk the Times' bogus report alleging Palestinian militants systematically raped Israelis on October 7, and respond to their own critics' sloppy attacks

The grieving family of Ali Al-Bazzari mourn their son, 41, after he was killed in cold blood by Israeli settler militias near the village of Ramin, east of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank. The real nature of Israel’s culture of hate & genocide.

It’s a genocide you hack.
I believe this is the third anniversary of the Hamas terror attacks on Israel which led to the war in Gaza. Headlines like this are one reason Postmedia pulled out of Canadian Press. A skewed vision, unreliable copy.

Today marks 3 years of the ongoing #Gazagenocide and the ethnic cleansing campaign in the West Bank. A cruel genocide that has claimed the lives of so many family and friends, and left those who continue to survive shattered as they continue to endure starvation, displacement, and destruction of their homes, schools, universities, hospitals, businesses, farm land, and places of worship. Lest We Forget
