I’ve joined the @Lovable Partner Program as a Certified Partner, becoming one of its first official partners worldwide. Thank you to the Lovable team, and especially @ydergard, for the invitation and trust. Lovable shortens the distance between strategy and a working product. With my experience in brand strategy, product strategy and design, I can shape the entire journey, from positioning and concept to a live web app or PWA, while keeping the original idea coherent at every stage. If you’re ready to turn an idea into a product people can actually use, let’s build it together. Explore my work and tell me what you’re building. maks.so

I’ve been supporting @strawberry 🍓 from the very beginning and using it for months ahead of the public launch. It’s genuinely one of the most impressive AI products I’ve tried. So proud of you @charles_maddock, and the whole team. Love seeing what you’ve built finally out in the world! And I love that it’s all happening in Stockholm, my second home. There’s so much exciting stuff happening there right now, and I really think it’s Europe’s San Francisco! 🇸🇪

Framer will now give 50,000 agent credits for every client site you switch over, plus half of the first-year subscription. After the marketplace changes, it is telling designers where it expects their value to be: client work, not templates. That is a fair place to stand.
Get 50,000 agent credits for every client site you plan to switch to Framer. The new Switch program helps you move clients faster and easier, without spending on credits. Switched? 50% of what we make on your client’s first-year subscription is yours too. framer.link/switch

Apple Music took the red out of its 13-year-old icon and most reactions call it dull. In iOS 27 anyone can tint every icon on their home screen, so colour was never going to hold the brand there. The shape of the note has to do that now, and Apple kept the right thing.
iOS 27.2 Beta 4 redesigns the Apple Music app icon.

DesignMe left Framer for Astro and now edits its whole site through Claude. "We ask, review, and ship." That works when whoever asks can also review what changed. Most founder sites are edited by someone who can't read a diff, and for them the Framer canvas is the review step.
End of an era. After 3 good years on Framer, we moved @designme to our own stack. Framer got us far, and I'd still recommend it for a lot of teams. But the more we grew, the more we needed control: over the code, structure and speed of testing and shipping new things. So, we rebuilt everything from scratch in Astro. In May, our last redesign took me 4 weeks and roughly 300 hours to create 41 pages. This one: 228 pages in 4 days. The speed is just unmatched. 116 old URLs mapped, 43 redirects, 0 broken links. 20 case studies, 19 articles, 4 free tools, light and dark mode, and a design system that finally makes sense. The best part: the whole site runs in Claude now. New page, copy change, quick fix? We ask, review, and ship. No waiting on someone to open an editor. And if I need something visual, I jump into Figma, mock it up, and ship with an MCP. It's the same setup we now build for our clients (which is exactly why we had to run our own site on it first). Really proud of the team and how fast we're moving now. DesignMe 2.0 is live ↓

Instinct, Muse, Orchid, Caddy, Today, Boski, Tab, Grok Bot, Dot? Which one should you pick? AI agents are everywhere right now. It feels like a new assistant launches every few days. I'm sure most of them will disappear as fast as they appeared. There isn't room in the market for this many assistants. The one that wins will be the one that's simply the best now. Not at some point later. Later on, once OpenAI and the other big players polish their products, most people will centralize and move to them anyway. Why? Because in the age of AI, context matters more than novelty. What matters is how well an agent knows you and your work. With a new product coming out almost every day, are you going to move all your context to a new tool each time? Probably not. You'll stay with one. The one that knows you best. You just have to pick the one that, at least for now, gives you the best capabilities, and also check whether it can realistically keep growing, so you don't have to switch to another tool in a few months. I've tested almost all of them. Instinct is hopeless. In my opinion their hype comes mostly from being the best known, people don't compare, they just try whatever they find first. I know which one is the best. If you're curious, let me know in the comments. I can put together a comparison on my blog (link in bio).

Many designers who built their business around Framer are leaving. Template sales dropped sharply after the marketplace changes, and for a lot of them the numbers no longer work. Part of this is on Framer. They broke the marketplace, and the people who helped grow the platform paid for it. But selling templates was always a business with an expiry date. AI made design available to everyone. Anyone can type a prompt and get a finished website. And Framer launched its own agent. Should they have held it back to protect designers? Pretend it isn't happening and fall behind? That makes no sense. A good designer isn't afraid of AI. They bring it into parts of their process and use it to work faster. What sets them apart is taste, and knowing what a project needs and what to leave out. A good designer becomes the curator of what AI creates. There is room on the market for both kinds of clients. Those who will skip the designer and generate a site themselves. And those who know they expect something more. There are still a lot of the second kind. There always will be.

I keep discovering Swedish tech companies I somehow hadn’t heard of. So I’m building a place to find them. From @Spotify, @Klarna and @Lovable to @strawberry, @scapeinbox and tiny teams just getting started. Send me the Swedish tech companies I should know about or tag them below. Your own absolutely counts :)

Things have been bad for everyone since framer 3.0 update. I really think they should revert back to the review process or many creators gonna leave framer soon including myself and I really don't want to because framer might be the best thing happened to design after figma 😭

Three days with @bot and I’m blown away. But the limits are a problem. I burned through Cursor Pro+’s weekly allowance in under a day. Upgraded to Ultra yesterday, already at 51%. For real delegation and powerful automations, the limits need to be dramatically higher.

What a week 🤯 • Grok Bot launched • Grok 4.6 dropped • Gemini 3.7 dropped • ChatGPT shipped Computer History • Instagram rebranded • SpaceXAI acquired Cursor the timeline is fully cooked!

This is embarrassing. “Vespera Thorne” by KollinaStudio is a blatant rip-off of Nolan Barret, the original template by @ena_supply. This is what happens when you remove proper verification and make it easier than ever to publish. The new Marketplace didn’t improve quality control. If anything, it just made stuff like this easier to get through. @framer really needs to sort this out. framer.com/community/marketp…

A little update to my list of favorite apps on maks.so. A few new tools somehow became part of my daily workflow, so they officially made the list. @avec – finally, an email client that doesn’t feel stuck in the 2000s. Makes me feel like I actually know what I’m doing with email. @LittlebirdAI – one of those power apps that quietly saves you all the time. Nothing gets lost, nothing gets forgotten. Already saved me more than once. @AsideAI – a fresh one, but it made me understand what an AI browser can actually be. If you like Comet, Dia, or Atlas, try Aside. You’ll change your mind. Dock.cool – everything I need quick access to, right in the Dock. This is what the Mac Dock should have been. Thanks @soltwagner for building it. Welcome to the list.

Superhuman promised a revolution – turned out to be just an upgrade. Notion Mail was supposed to redefine email – couldn’t even deliver a unified inbox. Too many overhyped, half-baked products these days. Email apps? Many tried. None delivered a real revolution. Until now. Just @trysunflower. You’ll get it the moment you open it 🌻
