At the time of his signing, I remember thinking to myself Madrid has very highly touted young left footed attacking mids at Castilla (Sergio Arribas and Nico Paz), why add another potential handicap to their progression? But when a talent is that much incrementally better you go all-in, regardless of current fit. Similar thinking this summer with Yan Diomande.
