The way people are pretending this entire PSG project is such a feel good story is so cringe man. A state funded sports washing project threw billions on the wall and finally it clicked for them after a more than a decade and a half thanks to load management gimmicks

Wilshere said it right, tactically we were right, we created enough to win, it’s just the little individual and defining moments didn’t go our way. PSG score three goals on the edge of the box, one deflected. Donnarumma decides to finally be a world class keeper.

You cannot fault the effort of the team or the tactics of Arteta. The reality is we needed upgrades in attack at the start of the season EVEN BEFORE the injuries. When we didn’t invest in January we condemned these guys to die on their feet. They did their best, just need better.
On aggregate: Arsenal (5.11) 1-3 (3.08) PSG

i need people to please be for real right now man. there is not a single manager in the game who could have navigated these injuries & still been successful. arteta very obviously has a lot of growth, but if you can't appreciate how he's managed this, i'm sorry we can't talk

It’s dangerously close to Arteta out territory the way they’ve collapsed post Real Madrid

I also think it’s a bit unfair to criticise the problem-solving capabilities of a manager who has turned a late-prime midfielder into an effective striker and a teenage midfielder into a world class left back in the same season. Sometimes you just run out of players.

I know he's a bit persona non grata amongst Arsenal fans but I still don't think there is an appreciation for how good Odegaard is off the ball. And I don't think that's taken into account when they cook up hypotheticals for his replacement.

This might be the most extraordinary tweet of the day - the ambassador to ukraine translating this and posting it - a sign of how quickly all the institutions are rushing to show loyalty to Trump. A career diplomat who’s lived the whole war in Kyiv applauding Ze’s humiliation.
.@SecRubio: Дякую @POTUS за те, що ви відстоюєте Америку так, як жоден президент ніколи не мав сміливості зробити раніше. Дякуємо, що ставите Америку на перше місце. Америка з вами!

All in all, Starmer’s first Trump White House visit looks like it couldn’t have gone much better. No 10 will be delighted and relieved, his enemies bitterly disappointed. But this wasn’t the crunch- that will come when and if Trump makes a deal with Putin. If that deal is bad, Starmer’s room for manoeuvre will evaporate and he’ll be forced to choose a side.

There are very few black and white moments in politics. But this is one of them. Who is prepared to say they stand with Zelensky and Ukraine. And who is prepared to say they stand with Trump and Putin. It's that simple.

This might be the most braindead statement I have ever seen be made by a sitting U.S. President. Calling Zelensky a dictator while someone like Putin has been in power now for over 25 years is some next level stupidity. This is the President of the United States on one of his official accounts, spouting Russian propaganda and straight up lying about the situation in Ukraine.

Putin started this war. Putin committed war crimes. Putin is the dictator who murdered his opponents. The EU nations have contributed more to Ukraine. Zelensky polls over 50%. Ukraine wants to be part of the West, Putin hates the West. I don’t accept George Orwell’s doublethink.

I am sympathetic to the arguments that Arsenal's strategy on attacking depth was risky and not optimal. I have said that exactly. There is also no real practical way to cover for having your first-choice front 3 all injured plus a key player for depth and still not suffer a crisis

Of the 8.3 trillion pesos of cuts Milei made in the first quarter of 2023, here's where he found them: 35% from pensions 15% from direct investment 13% from transfers to provinces 9% from energy subsidies 7% from salaries
