Katsuhiro Otomo, visionary “Akira” manga artist and director, created the “Future City”and “Highway Star” commercials for the April 1984 release of Canon’s computerized, dial-free LCD-screen T70 35mm SLR camera. The structure in “Future City” is a futuristic Tower of Babel.
