Make no mistake, the 1st line is a supernova, but this game doesn't happen without Levi. Edm playing with a lead because a goalie holds the score within reach is just... something else.

Game Notes (So far) • Devon Levi is the first reason Edm came back • The 1st line is a PP at 5v5 • Bouchard • good 5v5 play • Just awful PK play

I miss the Wedge +1 PK system. It just needed Nurse and Nuge taken off of it.

Can't say I know too much about Edm's new acquisition Hallander.

Call Evan Bouchard the best offensive Dman in the game atm, but he actively is the best defensive Dman in the game too... albeit only 3gp.

A prospect I've hyped up a bit with my scouting reports... Andrew Robinson: 4gp - 1g - 6a - 7pts (+4) He is currently 2nd in pts among Dman in the OHL. I'm getting a strong believe that this may be the best Dman Edm has drafted since Bouchard.

His 6 pts outside of the PP leads the OHL among Dman. Just simply a very impressive start for him. The team is 3-3-1, 21 GF (3.00) and 23 GA (3.29). With Robinson in the lineup, they are 3-1-0, 15 GF (3.75) and 10 GA (2.50).

Good players find ways to get the puck. From the years that I've scouted, my wisdom is that a player who can't, shouldnt be lifted by players who can. Players who can should be lifted even higher by others who can.
Maybe Howard would/could have the puck more if he wasn’t playing with two guys who can’t get him the puck??? Just a thought.

There's a subtle but profound difference in putting a player in a spot of opportunity and preventing a player from not succeeding. I currently don't think Howard is good enough to warrant being put in a position to succeed compared to what others provide. Micheal, Podz, Savoie, and rn, even frederic all deserve more opportunity. Putting Howard with Drai and/or McDavid lowers those elite talents ability, not heightens it... all because Howard isn't good at getting the puck or doing things with the puck.

I find Howard plays a pretty exclusive north/south style of hockey. He doesn't play with pace. He doesn't go east/west. He's not patient or thinking a step ahead. There's little dynamics in his game and its made him very predictable. Are his QoT high? No. Are his QoC high? Also no. The opposition he faces should allow him to produce but yet still he doesn't. His 2.0 xGF/60 and 1.79 GF/60 is far below the NHL avg to prove his inability to help produce offense on his own.
