Check out our new @vast introduction video. We are ready to build the lower cost, commercial successor to the International Space Station - starting with Haven-1 launching next year.
This week at Payload’s Off World in Houston, Chief Policy Officer Caryn Schenewerk joined a panel on NASA's Commercial LEO Destinations program to share Vast’s progress, and SVP of Lunar Programs Colin Smith discussed our plans for the Moon, built on Haven-1 flight heritage.
Vast Astronaut Advisor @Astro_Suni and Vast delegates recently attended the Bengaluru Space Expo in India, taking part in a panel with astronaut Angad Pratap to discuss the future of space exploration, science, and human spaceflight.
We have established a Lunar Programs division.
By leveraging our commercial space station and satellite development capabilities, we are creating a scalable path toward lunar infrastructure to advance NASA’s vision for a permanent Moon Base. vast.news/4d1qWL9
Vast CEO @MaxHaot and Lead Astronaut @astro_feustel welcomed @BBC to our Long Beach headquarters to show how we design and build space infrastructure in-house.
Thank you, Prime Minister Mitsotakis @PrimeministerGR, for choosing Vast to fly @Astrovenator Adrianos Golemis, the first Greek citizen in space 🇬🇷, launching summer 2027 with @Thom_astro 🇫🇷 and @astro_ales 🇨🇿. Together with @esa, @NASA, @SpaceX and the Hellenic Space Center.
It was an honor to represent @Vast at the International Space Summit in Paris last week to announce further human spaceflight collaborations between America and Europe. Welcome to the mission Greece.
Vast and @esa, on behalf of Greece, have signed an agreement for Vast’s private astronaut mission to the International Space Station in partnership with @NASA. @astrovenator is slated to serve as a mission specialist, becoming the first Greek astronaut. vast.news/46NBolT
Our wet trash system is one of several life-support systems aboard Haven-1. The system manages wet waste containment with integrated odor control and vacuum venting. It’s part of a comprehensive support system designed to keep crews safe in space.
Another E-2 Block 1 mission duty cycle is in the books as the team continues increasing thrust vector control rates, gimbal range, and cycle count.
This Block 1 engine has now surpassed 2X its rated service life. Testing will continue to further characterize engine life and thrust vector control performance as the team prepares for engine qualification.
Turn and Burn 💎💎
E-2 Block 1 has successfully completed a 222-second gimbaled endurance demonstration test at nominal operating conditions.
Testing will continue beyond this engine's rated service life, with progressively higher gimbal rates and larger gimbal angles to further validate durability and performance.

Vast commends @NASA for proceeding with a CLD procurement strategy to achieve an enduring American LEO presence while providing a clear opportunity for commercial providers. We value the structure, which requires companies to continue to compete on merit (hardware, technology, design progress) during the contract to earn additional NASA task orders. Vast supports the overall approach and appreciates the process NASA has established for taking feedback. nasa.gov/humans-in-space/com…
