What does #Kolkata 🇮🇳 need by 2031? Every national business channel journalist reporting from BBD Bagh instead of Dalal Street 📈 Or every author giving interviews from world's largest library that should be built in Kolkata 📚 #Stocks & #Books can co-exist to grow in the city

Let’s assume that, at this moment, even a single vote in the Rajya Sabha is extremely important. But what is the price of that one vote? ₹2,30,000 every month? A Rajya Sabha MP gets ₹2,30,000 a month combining salary, constituency allowance and office allowance: Salary — ₹1,00,000 Constituency Allowance — ₹70,000 Office Expense Allowance — ₹60,000 And of course, there are several other benefits on top of this. ₹2,30,000. The idea, surely, is not that this money is paid simply to turn up in Parliament and press YES or NO on a particular bill. It is rather unsettling to think that someone could receive this amount every single month essentially while waiting for the occasional moment when their vote is needed to support a Bill. And, presumably, there would be plenty of other ways in which the party would expect that political capital to be used. People expect more. They expect their MP to speak against fake news, defend the party’s narrative, speak up for nationalists on issues that matter to the country, and most importantly—be present on the ground. The expectations are even higher when the MP is a celebrity. During Durga Puja and Kali Puja, being seen alongside BJP workers in Bengal, among ordinary people, out there in the field—that too is a part of political responsibility. I hope she will turn up at a few puja pandals without charging an appearance fee. Because the people who put up the flags, paint the walls and work on the ground deserve that little bit of acknowledgement too. They like seeing their leaders among them. Otherwise, the calculation becomes rather strange: ₹2,30,000 + privileges. And in return— just one “AYE”?

Five years of BJP-bashing, hobnobbing with Mamata, taking all benefits from TMC syndicate, sadhu-smearing and CAA-Waqf-SIR panic-peddling—then BOOM, regime flips and the plum post lands because “soul-cleansing” suddenly pays! Atma Shuddhi matters! Ghar ki murgi daal barabar 🤣 PS- This message has nothing to do with honourable BJP MP, face of Bengali Nationalism- Hindutva icon Koyel Mullick🐥
Join the TMC or any other opposition party, switch to the BJP, and you'll get a Rajya Sabha ticket or a good position. But serve the BJP loyally for 10-15 years, and the leadership still won't recognise you. 😃

On May 3, I had said there would be an unprecedented Hindu consolidation and that the numbers could cross 200+. Since 2025, I had been reading the pulse of the people and said that something massive was brewing. It turned out to be remarkably accurate. 🎯 Today, on October 6, even before the votes are cast, after speaking to people on the ground, I am saying this: this is going to be an unprecedented election. There is a possibility that even Muslim votes could swing in favour of the BJP in two seats. In Nandigram, Muslim votes are likely to move towards the Chief Minister anyway, driven by the “son of Midnapore” sentiment. Murshidabad, however, could potentially produce a massive upset—or perhaps the “Sekumaku lobby” could pull off something unexpected. First Boy @SuvenduWB Adhikari is playing today’s match with a larger purpose: to demonstrate to the world what the @narendramodi Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas model actually means. The narrative he is trying to establish is that Muslims in Bengal are also stakeholders in development—and that, in return, sections of the Muslim community could also come out in large numbers to vote for @BJP4Bengal . The Hindu consolidation appears firmly intact. And now, if a significant Muslim vote also joins that equation, the political outcome could be much bigger than expected. The rest I will write after the votes are cast—and I will discuss it on YouTube.

Unfortunately it’s so very true
Governments have rarely changed in #WestBengal over the last 50 years. I have never seen a transition with so much fanfare as the one we saw in 2026. I have never seen any political party disregard the sentiments of its core support base in the state with such nonchalance as the #BJP is doing. The closest parallel is #Tripura. Unfortunate!

Sorry @Suhelseth Kolkata biryani joints are just riding their dead-ass brand names while the rice turns into sad, soggy garbage day by day. Hyderabadi and Dhakai kacchi are the only ones that still holds ground.
Donne Biryani doesn’t compare to Calcutta biryanis at all Mohandas. At all. 😉

In 1985, EgyptAir Flight 648 was hijacked by militants of the Abu Nidal Organisation. In 1994, Air France Flight 8969 was hijacked by the Armed Islamic Group (GIA). In 1999, Indian Airlines Flight 814 was hijacked by militants linked to Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. In 2001, four aircraft were hijacked by al-Qaeda. Do you know what they had in common? Everything was connected by a single thread. Do you know what it was? Driving a truck and flying a plane are not the same thing. Flying an aircraft requires educated, highly trained professionals. So, this has nothing to do directly with education or the lack of it. Then what is the problem? If a particular group of people is taught, five times a day, that only they are good and everyone else is an infidel; that everyone else is evil; that others have no right to live unless they join their group—then sooner or later, no matter how logical a person’s mind may be, cracks will inevitably begin to appear. Becoming a pilot requires education. It requires the ability to make decisions with a cool head. It requires making and changing numerous decisions quickly. And yet, if a pilot decides to crash an aircraft carrying innocent people into a building simply because they are ‘infidels’, then surely we need to look around the world for the root cause of that problem. Let me say one final thing: ancient Sanatani education matters. You will never see an Indian hijacking a plane while chanting Jai Shri Krishna or Har Har Mahadev. The difference existed, exists, and will continue to exist. — Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh
