I missed OPI with yesterday's records request. That oversight has been rectified with a request today. Thanks for the heads up.

The process is going to take awhile. Getting the word out in a few months will be invaluable.

Step one for today is done. I filed public records requests with the Governor's Office, with Commerce, Agriculture, the National Guard, and MSU. We deserve clarity on who went, who paid, and what was promised. Get on the list to help forms.gle/RKA7r8Ke9wyM4giu9 Montana has official requirements. This is day one. I don’t trust foreign governments to put Americans first and I especially don’t think we should shrug when one spends years building relationships inside our state institutions. India’s Seattle Consulate has cultivated Montana officials, universities, businesses and students. They even described one program as creating young “brand Ambassadors for India.” It later hosted a large Montana delegation at an Invest India Business Forum designed to promote Indian investment, exports and industry linkages. Then Montana spent months planning Gianforte’s India mission with T & A Consulting Private Limited, an India-headquartered firm led by Tarun Gupta and Rachna Gupta, and its Canada-based affiliate, T&A Consulting Americas Inc., led by Saurabh Khanna. T&A publicly says it is supporting the mission in Delhi and Bengaluru. T&A has also previously served as the Knowledge Partner implementing an official Government of India investment program through an Indian Embassy. Maybe every piece of this is perfectly legitimate, but India’s government is not working for Montana. It is working for India and we should not accept foreign influence becoming another normal part of American government. And now the same Indian Consulate is organizing invite-only Diwali events at state capitols and governors’ mansions across its region, with RSVPs going directly to an .gov.in address. It’s shocking how deeply a foreign government has been allowed to embed itself inside American state institutions before most Americans even noticed.
If Montana University System expands J1 or H1B staffing then I will vote AGAINST renewing their $35 million property tax levy which funds them Montana homeowners shouldn't be taxed a single penny to pay the salary of new foreign teachers they hire because of this trip

“We’re showing investors and businesses in India why the Treasure State should be part of their next big idea.” So it’s not just about lentils??
Montana is competing for the industries and investments of tomorrow. In Delhi, we met with technology leaders, investors, and manufacturers to put the Treasure State at the top of the list for creating more good-paying jobs for Montanans. news.mt.gov/Governors-Office…

Wrong
Greg Gianforte, the elected governor of Montana, is looking out for the citizens of Montana. The white nationalists who are attacking him are looking out for their bruised egos.

This is exactly how we end up with President AOC. Voters gave Trump a second term because they wanted an economy that puts Americans first, an end to forever wars abroad, and a renewed sense of hope about the future. The GOP has delivered the exact opposite. Abroad, voters asked for no new wars and instead got Iran, Ukraine, the Houthis, Venezuela, more Somalia, and maybe Cuba. Here at home, Gov. Gianforte has been a vehement opponent of the Defend the Guard Act, which would keep the Montana National Guard home unless Congress declares war. Domestically, voters asked for government to get out of the way and instead got tariff wars, 600,000 Chinese students, a president insisting Americans don't have the talent to fill H-1B jobs, and a governor flying to India while government picks winners and losers in trade. Think about someone coming out of college right now: rising interest rates, fading hopes of owning a home as the president says he hopes to keep housing prices high for owners, soaring costs overall, AI threatening their job prospects, and the risk of another war. They're looking to leadership for hope, and Republicans are giving them the exact opposite. Adding insult to injury, we Libertarians constantly hear from conservative-leaning Montanans who are fed up with Daines, Gianforte & Co. for pushing populist voices like Matt Rosendale and Dr. Al out of federal race and advancing milquetoast puppets like Kurt Alme instead. When GOP leadership has nothing to offer but "pull yourself up by your bootstraps," people will turn to the socialists. Good job, guys. This is why we call it the uniparty.
Thank you @USAmbIndia for welcoming our Montana delegation to the U.S. Embassy in Delhi. Working together, we’re strengthening U.S.-India ties, expanding market access for ag producers, creating university partnerships, and exploring opportunities in bioscience and technology.

You cannot long exist as a nation with free immigration and a welfare state. Corporate, banking, and global interests, and the politicians they pay for, treat America as an economic zone instead of a nation with a shared history, culture, and border. Cheap labor means bigger profit margins, which would be fine if it was just business. But the American taxpayer picks up the bill for the additional strain on hospitals, schools, and public works. The American taxpayer is subsidizing its own wage suppression and paying for benefits they often don’t receive themselves.   At the 2025 peak, 53 million people living here were foreign born, about 1 in 6 residents and the highest share in our history. Roughly 14 million had no permanent legal status and 8 million of those, seven times Montana’s population, were here illegally. We are a nation of immigrants, yes, but also a nation of laws, customs, shared history and language. Without time to assimilate, a continued stream of newcomers will remake our society, as Western Europe is currently learning.   Libertarians believe in free association, but it cannot be a one-way street. Immigrants cannot impose undue costs on Americans who have paid, for generations, to be here. There must be some border, some sane policy.   As your Representative, I will work with any member of Congress to pass legislation removing everyone here illegally under existing law. I will support ending the H1-B program which corporations have abused to undercut American workers. I will introduce a bill to pause all immigration for five years, except spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens, giving time to remove those here illegally, assimilate newcomers and build a sane system.   I oppose amnesty, and I worry it is the uniparty’s plan on behalf of corporate interest.

Montanans have a good idea where this is headed, and we aren’t happy. Today, I will begin work on recalling Gianforte. We will need 80,000 signatures.
I am excited to announce I will be leading a delegation to India and Sri Lanka. Joining over 30 Montanans in country, we will showcase our world-class products, build on longstanding relationships, and open new doors for Montana businesses, universities, and producers.

Looks like some weak talking points went out today. I’m not here for the weed or porn. Let’s just remember that with the house, senate, and executive; the GOP couldn’t quite get those Epstein files out, or any prosecutions made. Human trafficking seems to be a cornerstone of the uniparty leadership; and Libertarians, whether they be the right leaning individualist type, or the goofballs at the party level, are against that.
I saw someone claim that libertarians only care about weed and pornography. That’s completely unfair and counter-productive. Libertarians clearly care about more than just weed and porn. They’re also obsessed with preserving prostitution and human-trafficking. And they seem allergic to having any actual impact on elections or legislation.
