Just moved our internal agent over to varlock.dev/ so I can finally stop my coding agent from accidentally reading my damn .env file.
Definitely a project more of you should know about.

Speech to text has definitely curtailed my use of public workspaces when coding. I used to happily sit in a shared space, throw on headphones, and work for hours.
That doesn’t really work when I’m talking to my agent throughout the day.

Someone accidentally sent me a $100 Ikea gift card via email (wrong email), but the gift message included a clearly AI generated message from the sender - don't do this, just write the note, it's not LinkedIn.
(I didn't claim the card, hopefully they figure it out)

It's not perfect, but putting chrome in a VNC container and then getting it setup on your profile (logged into stuff you use) is incredibly useful with an agent. Bonus, pipe it out a tailscale exit node for your home IP.

Everyone kind of shits on AI and it's interactions with open source, but on the other side, as a maintainer it's amazing - especially when you haven't touched a project for +5 years and need to jump back in.
