It seems that the tl has devolved into full on mud slinging over the 24, lots of fud posts on
$STONK and it's showing in the charts (not like RH is looking much better tho...as it turns out, when you start fudding eachother, nobody really wins). My thoughts:
1. Taxes:: Just let the market decide. If you think it's unsustainable, cool, you're entitled to your opinion. IMO the market has shown that it's willing to incur 3% taxes provided they go back to holders. And since most ppl don't seem to realize this, there is also a 1% tax tier for stonk tokens, backpack being one example of a coin that uses this tier.
2. Liquidity: every single 1b+ runner of the last cycle ran on paper thin liquidity (thinner than stonk coins btw). So I'm not sure why this is all of a sudden supposed to be a deciding factor, I think we all know that liquidity is a double edged sword. You also need to factor in liquidity on meteora, which tbf, doesn't really come into play until higher mc coins.
3. Slippage: this is a function of the tax, so same comment as above.
4. Lack of runners: this one just seems disingenous. There are runners everyday, and while there are only two coins above 100m (or at least until a few hours ago, zcat is now below), that's the same number of 100m+ coins on RH, and that's across 2 ecos, not 1.
5: Stonk vs pons mc: the argument here is that Solana sucks because a similar platform to pons couldn't even get to pons ATH. Yea....there's this thing on Solana, you may have heard of it, it's called pump dot fun, and it's the biggest launchpad in all of crypto. So yea, the competition is slighty stiffer over here. Also, pons has been around longer than SFL, pons launched into the RH honeymoon period whereas SFL launched into "Solana is a dead chain" period.
I'm going to refrain from offering specific thoughts on RH, Long and pons, but suffice to say, the last few weeks have shown that ppl don't 'hodl' there more than they do elsewhere, and all this talk about 'pve' is more hopium for what might come, rather than the current reality.
And as it pertains to RH, I think this where all the fud is originating from: ppl who decided that the entire bull run was going to play out on one single chain, completely wrote off Solana, and then they were taken first by surprise, then by shock that anything other than pf could ever gain traction on Solana. And now it's gotten to the point where impatience has given way to frustration and anger, and the target for that is Stonk, which they see as the reason why their bags are no longer pumping like they were. Simple as that IMO.
