I love the usual: P Funk, Sun Ra, Bolaño, Gogol, chess...all that good stuff. Love 34 et al too, but miss Sundin. Ahh, TO: what a city, but could be better!

If bicycles are "vehicles" under the Highway Traffic Act, why aren't cyclists eligible for government rebates under the Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles program?

I'm a journalist @TorontoStar working on a story about moments of unexpected kindness between strangers in Toronto. Has a stranger ever stepped in when you needed it most? Said exactly the right thing? I'd love to hear from you. E-mail fkopun@thestar.ca Please repost!

A year ago I realized I didn't want the modern jazz scene to pass me by and made it my mission to dig deep into the greats of today. Here are my favorite discoveries since then!
Replying to @NotRealMusic
Everyone needs to tap back into jazz. At some point we stopped treating new jazz releases as we do the classics and now we have masterful projects by Immanuel Wilkins, Ahmed, Tomeka Reid, Dave Douglas, etc going totally under the radar. Sad to see a lack of a listener base there

Surprised more people's 9 albums didn't have Robert Johnson I know this isn't 1960s Britain anymore but don't you people light candles late at night and listen to proper acoustic delta blues??

Hahaha when you slow it down frame by frame, you can clearly see that the stick doesn’t even touch him. I hesitated to call him out for this one last night because I thought he actually got highsticked. Biggest diver in the league and it’s not close.
People will look you dead in the face and tell you this was a dive. #GoSensGo

This video changed my life because I almost gave up on producing, then got re-inspired & haven’t quit since. Now I fully produce all my songs & get paid to remix songs for videos I film. Just goes to show how living in your truth & never giving up can help others. TY! @Tinashe

Wow, there's a giant NDA (non-disclosure agreement) up as a Nuit Blanche art installation calling out the silencing of curators and artists who've spoken critically of Israel. It's in the alley off Spadina south of Richmond leading to Cinecycle. By No Arms in the Arts.
