My grandad was an RAF pilot in WWII. He had an axe just like this as a souveneir. They haven't changed in 80 years.
Just look at this Axe which the Co-Pilot used to attack the Captain in the Fly Dubai incident. It’s a heavy-duty emergency axe with a sharp cutting edge, built to break through tough aircraft materials when normal access is blocked. It looks and is like a serious piece of equipment. In the wrong hands, a tool with this kind of weight and cutting edge could cause devastating injuries. And for your information, this tool is a must to have inside an aircraft. Aviation regulations require aircraft with more than 19 passenger seats to carry emergency equipment such as a crash axe. An emergency tool designed to help save lives suddenly became part of an attack inside Fly Dubai cockpit! The UAE Attorney-General confirmed that the co-pilot attacked Captain Smit Machchhar with the aircraft’s crash axe inside the cockpit before attempting to take control of the aircraft. The axe is for an A320 corkpit, not the exact one which was used.

I SAY 'HALT'! Fascinating piece by Clement Attlee, written in 1962, calling for an end to Britain's application the European Economic Community. Attlee sets out his case against joining the EEC.

It was British Protestantism which built and civilised the world. Not the woke nonsense the Church Of England is pushing. Britain must return to it's Protestant roots.

Very disappointing from King Charles. It's well known slavery originated in the UK, it was the brainchild of Queen Victoria. People in the UK were therefore hoping he was going to make a full apology & announce a Reparations package. I can only conclude he still supports slavery.

Always remembered, not just a number: I shared digs with my good friend Geoff Hamilton in 1971. He was a bank official and was from Cross, Co Londonderry. Showing American journalist around, abducted by PIRA while taking photographs following bomb explosion, Distillery Street, Belfast. Beaten,,, Found shot dead, Murdoch Street, off Grosvenor Road, Belfast, on 4 October 1972. His twin sister Barbara had immigrated to America, where she died in California. In April of 2007 Barbara's husband, Robert Chandler and his daughter Kathryn (Barbara's step-daughter) made a trip to Northern Ireland taking Barbara's Ashes with them to be interred there alongside of her twin brother, Geoffrey.

The English are lucky not to have a devolved parliament. Unless, of course, they would like their lives to be micromanaged by third-rate barristers, over-promoted councillors, public sector lanyard-jockeys, NGO email-writers, ex-spads, and other spiteful, self-righteous dullards.
Devolution only exists to make English people feel lucky.

If Germany, or any other EU state, had truly wanted Britain in the EU, they would not have perfomatively sent David Cameron away empty-handed from the 2016 renegotiation. They were readier to lose their second-largest economy than to allow the slightest return of powers.
