The Mellow USDG Yield Vault has taken its first external treasury allocation: 500,000 USDG from @OlympusDAO's protocol treasury.
The Vault accepts @Paxos-issued USDG, allocating exclusively to @Morpho markets on @RobinhoodCrypto's chain launched in July.

Inside the Vault, USDG is deployed into @ethena's USDe and @maplefinance's syrupUSDG.
Both are supplied as collateral exclusively on Morpho markets to borrow USDG that is then looped back to capture the carry spread.

No matter what the vault type is, permissions should be scoped per operator, per strategy, per asset and per action, so that an operation outside those bounds cannot be executed rather than flagged once the capital has already moved.
There are different vaults on the market:
– Looping and complex strategies
– Lending
– Tokenization
Key point where we all agree is risk management should be enforced onchain.

Tokenized stocks are heating up, and it's obvious that the category will get huge very soon.
Thinking of tokenized stocks, they don't make much difference on their own compared to offchain stocks.
So what makes them so interesting? It's the primitives that can be built with them onchain, bringing new categories to the market.
Access to credit against stocks, custom and democratized indexes, yield-bearing stocks, and more to come.
The next obvious step is native onchain issuance for stocks, starting with tokenized equities, and then we'll see full-scale onchain IPOs. The future is bright, and the future is onchain.

Every Core Vault knows what its operator can and can't do. Verifiers check each action against the vault mandate and reject anything outside it.
Now, Mellow is moving its live monitoring to @blockaid_, adding another layer of oversight around the activity inside those rules.

One action can look completely ordinary on its own, but ten in a row may not, so Blockaid looks at the flow, not only the individual transaction.
The system analyzes timing, frequency and order of the events, and flags suspicious behaviour even when every step was permitted.
