nowadays, the less lines of code u write the higher the signal. i once had someone once unironically say "yo man u gotta review this crazy pr i have" and its 60k lines of disgusting vibe coded ai slop, that the person themself didnt know what was doing.

we optimized a whole generation of software for human convenience. now that the writers aren't human, its a lot of surface area to rebuild

to this point, the best solution is to enforce that you only initialize the client in server side rendered code.
for example, nextjs `import server-only` should be the only place you initialize the supabase client as a singleton.
