I don't know about you guys, but when Charlie Kirk was murdered, it didn't feel to me like some famous stranger died.
For years I listened to or watched his podcast, watched all the debates, followed him on all his socials, and read what he published.
He grew up in front of most of us.
From a really tall 18 year old kid with a big idea, to a powerful political thinker, speaker, author, husband, and then a father.
So when he was killed, it felt like my friend had been murdered, even though I never met him.
I crumpled onto the floor and prayed, and begged God to spare him.
Though, after I saw that horrific video, I knew in my heart....Charlie was gone.
I, like so many of you, couldn't wrap my head around what had happened.
It just couldn't be real. Not Charlie.
@charliekirk11 was good, and kind, and generous.
He was a faithful Christian, who was the very best messenger for Christ that he could be.
His authentic love of America lives on, as does his legacy of open debate and university outreach.
Charlie Kirk was the best of the conservative movement.
His is missed, but he will never be forgotten.
