Once you room is booked they completely disassociate from you. You’re not “their” customer, you’re the customer of the hotel. Have a problem? @bookingcom tells you your issue is with the hotel. There’s nothing that can do. Contact the hotel? There’s nothing we can do, you have to contact @bookingcom. Try to call them? Reach an AI-manned “representative”. No human, no access, no customer service. I booked a hotel room for my son at a @ComfortSuites hotel. They charged another room to me. No confirmation, no info whatsoever. Just a second charge to my Amex. I disputed it immediately. Amex told me I’d have to take it up with @bookingcom . @bookingcom told me to take it up with @ComfortSuites . I was completely stonewalled and tonight, they just decided to hang up on me. Stay the eff away from these companies. This is a nod and a wink fraud. @AmericanExpress better step the eff up.

Everyone needs to know that @SenMarkey is a complete fraud (surprise!). He professes to support socialism, defunding ICE, impeaching Trump. Oh. He’s the People’s Candidate. Bullshit. He championed the Communications Act of 1996, the first major reformation of communications law in 60 years. He allowed phone companies to compete with cable operators; that didn’t last long. It encouraged deregulation by not requiring cable competitors to conform to strict municipal franchise requirements and required cable providers to reach “retransmission consent” agreements with local broadcast network affiliates that wanted to generate a secondary revenue stream (aside from advertising) to keep them viable in a multichannel environment. These Federally mandated payments to huge media enterprises which function on free US spectrum destroyed the domestic Cable Industry. “Retransmission Fees”, as one could easily have predicted, accelerated beyond inflation, beyond reason, and destroyed the affordability of the “cable bundle”. Social media conglomerates with video streaming options exploited Markey’s legislated wrath against the cable industry. He single-handedly cratered this business, built on the predicate of paying municipalities “franchise fees” in return for huge capital expenditures needed to build networks throughout the country. @SenMarkey was single handedly lowering his lance against the cable windmill, Don Quixote style. The result was greater empowerment to those who needed it least: Google and Meta. The erstwhile “socialist grandpa” is a tool of the most powerful media companies on earth. Eff you, Massachusetts.

He single-handedly screwed the cable industry by introducing “retransmission consent” which required cable systems to negotiate license payments to local broadcasters which used free, publicly licensed frequencies to distribute content. He hated cable and broadband providers. He defended the monopolistic practice of the NFL to sell Sunday Ticket only to DirecTV customers, freezing the millions of cable customers from this package. He abused his carefully crafted public persona as a specialist in communication matters to hamstring the development of broadband and conferred billions of blessings to broadcast networks and affiliates by providing them a substantial secondary revenue stream purely on the basis of their temporary occupation of public bandwidth.

Stupid question: why do campaigns send endless texts and emails looking for cash when NO ONE reaches out for paid campaign positions or volunteers? As a professional marketer and communicator, this makes zero sense to me. Of course, you want cash for outreach of various kinds and you must pay your consultants, but this is person-to-person 101.
