I don’t use Sentry. I don’t use PostHog. I don’t use any dedicated error-monitoring SaaS. Every single error in my stack - backend, frontend, queues, Durable Objects, etc, lands in Cloudflare Observability the moment it happens. Then a tiny custom toolbar app pings my account every 15 minutes, surfaces any new errors, and I fix them typically within a few hours. Over time the apps just… stop breaking. Here’s the exact system (and why Cloudflare is pretty cool);

lmao incredibly thin skin on Maajid @Sargon_of_Akkad
I mean I can see it, but it doesn't make Maajid any less of a duplicitous douche.

You know, it's actually not a bad idea at all. I kinda love it.
Can we bring pagers back? Muse is basically a very smart pager. Can @Meta make it rectangular with a clip on it so I can clip it onto my belt?

People forget that prior to relatively recently he was surrounded by moderates (by Israeli standards) and only surrounded himself with psychos as a last ditch effort to save his own ass. He got to stay in power and the most radical elements get to hold the reins of power.

Continuation of my old video-as-3d-object demo Always wanted to extend it further with segmentation so you can search for any type of object within the scene

This is the wrong question/argument to have. The spicy and correct one is that most humans aren't conscious. What was the last time anyone has done anything that wasn't a response to some external stimuli.
I still have yet to hear a convincing argument that LLMs are *definitely* not conscious.

Now here is the cool thing, if you keep removing the bottom 2% from each generation, you get a far better population in the long run. Something that is worth reading is a 2015 paper by Peter Frost and Henry Harpending - “Western Europe, State Formation, and Genetic Pacification" tl;dr is that medieval and early-modern European states were executing a significant % of violent men each generation, that in turn removed heritable tendencies toward aggression from the population, and that helped produce the later decline in personal violence and the conditions for high-trust societies. Absolutely fascinating read. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.…
The other thing that people need to realize is that among Homo Sapiens, 85% of behavior is passed from parents to child genetically. The nature vs nurture argument has well and truly been settled, for a long time now.

Before the entire planet got online. Used to be that there was at least some minor barrier to get online and navigate the web. Then everything became so easy that everyone with a $50 device is suddenly connected to the entire world. Harsh and unpopular truth is that many people are just not mentally equipped to handle what technology has given them. You can't just skip a couple hundred to a thousand years of cultural and societal development and go from mud huts straight to smartphones.
What’s one thing you miss about the internet before everything had AI in it?

Keeps working of course without a hiccup. Pays to have designed every part of it yourself and know how it works inside and out 🫠
ALL AI DIES TOMORROW. For one week. What happens to your product?

Funny thing, these kind of experts exist in every single industry. Just imagine how much progress is being held back because these kind of people are afraid to think outside the box they spent their entire career in.
"Elon has zero clue how rockets work." "I say this as an aerospace engineer." "Starship will never reach orbit." LMFAO 🤣🤣

AI companies "consume" water by ... passing it over some heatsinks, letting it cool back down and ... using the same water again?
People deleted ChatGPT to save water while drinking a Coca Cola 🤡

Honestly since when was AI THIS good with music? All of these bangers coming out in the last few days and the music is immaculate. Love this so so much.

Wish all these frontier models could figure out what is wrong with my sleep and why no matter how many hours of sleep I get, I'm always as exhausted waking up as I am going to sleep. Going on 25 years now of trying to figure it out. 🙃

I made a techno remix out of a song I recorded with an acoustic guitar in 2011, and asked Opus 5.5 for a music video with a JavaScript-forward art style. (It’s DDR optimized. Anyone else here plays DDR and is interested in steps?) 🧵

Yeah but for all you know he's awesome at sales and will be closing a dozen 10k/m clients every month. Meanwhile the people with 19 maxed out subscriptions are running at 0 MRR and 942 features.
🚨 Claude, Codex users !! If you have at least Pro sub of ai agents, you should be thankful. Today, I saw a guy who was using Claude free and building a startup. What he is doing is copying and pasting code into vscode. Omg, it made me sit and think.

"LLMs can't do math" "LLMs can't do new math" "LLMs can't do interesting math" "LLMs can't do open-ended interesting math" "LLMs can't do affirmative open-ended interesting math" "LLMs can't do highly abstract, non-easily-verifiable affirmative open-ended interesting math"
So the point of the stochastic parrot argument is that LLMs have zero understanding of language or anything else, they are just regurgitating training data. This hypothesis has been thoroughly disproven by LLMs solving millennium problems our smartest mathematicians have failed.
