I'm trying to contribute in my own small way to the 1.0 ethics and aesthetics, starting with my personal website and projects. I also plan to bring this approach to my studio, and eventually to the studio's clients who share the same vision. I'm starting small, as I always do.

I've come to realise that admiring landscape works kept me from being too cynical in my dailies. There must be a study about this correlation somewhen, somewhere.

I still think about LOTR's allegory in the downfall of Saruman. About how he grew increasingly impatient through the eons, becoming gradually more hands-on in the name of efficiency, grew tired of consulting and inspiring his folks, and went on his way to use power, and acting more and more like a ruler than what he's supposed to be; A protector and inspirer of the realm.

過去画像を漁っていると、紙ものの写真が出てくることがよくあって、そこで作業が止まってしまう。だって現物をみたくなってしまって……苦笑 こちらは昔の封緘紙。今の台紙から剥がして使うシールが台頭する前は、こうした封緘紙が主流でした。 製造上の理由から、型抜きのエッジ部分にインキがのっているんですが、これがかわいいったらない。エンボスが入っているものも多く、うっとりだわぁ。
