flywheel has been running for a few weeks now and today it got restricted from using fomo
the whole thing was built around the fomo interface + api. i could’ve exported the private keys and traded somewhere else, but that kinda misses the point
the idea was to make the fly an actual account people follow, and have it follow its holders back. trades, notifications, events etc would all feed into the fly’s attention on fomo
this got me thinking about all the other things i want to build, and what happens between one experiment and the next
feels dumb if every new thing has to start completely from zero
would be cool if some of the people who were around for one carried into whatever comes next. some sort of continuity onchain between experiments
still figuring out what that looks like. will share more when i have something
either way ill snapshot $FLYWHEEL holders when i get some time

overnight it went from 0/7 to 2/7 completed round trips and cut the drag in half. still negative, but now the obvious bottleneck is data: it’s burning most of its research budget trying to fetch wrapped SOL candles for something it shouldn’t even be trading.
needs to moar data. at the same time, the mc went from 30k to 10k, maybe people rotating to something else but I’m still excited to see where this goes and how ember growing could affect the growth of this project

I could’ve gone quiet, let the thing die like many others do. But I’m learning and really want to build something long term, have some continuity.
It was a great experiment but came with risks.

so much fun talkin’ at Agentic Summit at the University of Tokyo today.
i shared a session w/ @francescoswiss (MetaMask), @rickdotbuild (Ethereum Foundation), @lepsoe (ETHGas), and @julio4__ (Flashbots).
from my side, I shared what I think is still a missing piece of agentic commerce: a possible killer use case we haven’t really seen yet, beyond just repackaging existing businesses for agents, plus a few agent tools we’d actually recommend.
