This release of MicroPython adds support for ESP32-C5 and ESP32-P4 microcontrollers.
Support for the low-power and high performing STM32U5xx series is also added in this release.

After a bit of a delay from the planned schedule, we are pleased to let you know that MicroPython v1.19 has just been released!
This release has seen a big change to the format of MicroPython's .mpy files. One neat addition is the ability to customise the REPL prompt

Today is MicroPython's 9th Birthday! The 29th of April marks the date on which the first line of code was written.
We plan to release v1.19 very soon, which includes a completely reworked .mpy file format to facilitate freezing Python code without rebuilding firmware.
