THIS IS HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF TO EARN MORE IN WHATEVER FIELD YOU’RE IN.
If you currently have no idea how to get past your first $50 profit, this is for you.
In 2023, I celebrated a $50 gig like I had just signed a lease in Banana Island.😭
“Told myself, Commy, you’ve arrived!”
Weeks later, I found out the client’s actual project budget was $1,500.
That was one of the many moments that taught me:
Underpricing yourself will teach you positioning faster than any $500 course.
Back then, I thought cheap = more clients.
So I competed on price, worked crazy hours and still felt broke.
Today, I land $2K–$5K deals.
Not because I magically became better.
I learned how to position myself differently.
Here are 4 things that changed it for me:
1. Stop chasing people who can’t afford you.
A $20 budget isn’t becoming $1,000 because your pitch is good.
2. Don’t rush to quote.
Ask questions. Understand the problem first.
3. Price the problem, not your hours.
Sell the value of the solution, not your time.
4. Get comfortable with silence.
State your price. Then shut up.
You don’t need to be the cheapest person in the room.
You need to become the person whose value makes the price make sense.
What’s the lowest amount you accepted when you were starting out?👇
