Gas is the reason everything else is rising in price.
What a knob.
Genuinely though, gas is a relatively minor expense for the average american. If gas hit $8/gallon it would still be less than 10% of most peoples monthly expenses.
I’ve always found the obsession with gas prices strange, and I think its largely due to the fact that you go to the pump and stare at the price for ~3 minutes uninterrupted. Psychologically that can make anything seem more significant than it is.
