Great fun trading used guitar picks with Brian May of Queen.
He uses old sixpences, and was kind enough to find one with my birthyear at our concert this weekend. I use hard plastic ones, the mission emblem from my 3rd spaceflight.
(such a fine person, Sir Brian May, PhD astrophysicist & phenomenal musician/human, @DrBrianMay of @QueenWillRock)

ALT High-angle shot of a service being held inside Westminster Abbey. Several rows of people are standing in dark wooden quire stalls, facing the same direction. Those in the front rows wear ornate ceremonial robes in red, blue, and black, some with fur trim and large gold chains of office, while others wear dark suits. Some individuals hold gold maces or scepters. Small, red-shaded lamps on brass stands light the rows of pews. The floor is tiled in a black-and-white checkerboard pattern.
ALT A high-angle, wide shot shows a service inside Westminster Abbey. Standing in an elevated, ornate gold-and-black wooden pulpit, a person in a red, white, and black academic gown addresses a seated congregation in the foreground. To the right of the pulpit, two men in academic robes sit on chairs. Further right, four clergy members in elaborate white and gold vestments are seated. To the left of the pulpit, large white marble statues of figures in robes stand against a stone pillar. A diverse congregation sits facing the front, with many heads and shoulders visible in the foreground. The background features gothic architectural elements, including stone arches, stained glass windows, and carved wooden screens.
ALT A person in uniform takes a photo on their smartphone of six figures wearing ornate, mayoral red, black, and gold robes with heavy chains of office. They stand in a line on a stone floor in a high-arched gothic cloister, posing for the photograph. The photographer's hands holding the phone, wearing rings, are visible in the foreground, showing the image on the screen.
I’m willing to bet that 40-50% of those that voted for an eventual separation vote did so to get a ‘better deal’ with Canada and would ultimately vote no on a true yes or no separation vote.
The separatists can now, all the way, fuck off.
