These are some of the WhatsApp messages exchanged between 59-year-old General Shadrack Sibiya and a 16-year-old girl identified as ZM were read in court.
The messages were exchanged late at night.
General Shadrack Sibiya: “You promised something.”
ZM (16): “I’ll keep my promises.”
General Shadrack Sibiya: “Do you want me to watch?”
ZM (16): “4:55 video sent. Sorry for making you wait.”
General Shadrack Sibiya: “Can you take a call?”
ZM (16): “No, I’m sleeping next to my baby brother.”
General Shadrack Sibiya: “Okay, I like it.”
ZM (16): “Glad you do.”
General Shadrack Sibiya: “It’s amazing. This is hot, hey. I keep on checking it. I need more. Are you deleting the messages?”
ZM (16): “I have not, but I will.”
The messages were presented in court as part of the ongoing proceedings involving General Shadrack Sibiya.
AS A POLICEMEN, HE MUST BE HELD TO HIGHER STANDARDS. THIS IS MANUFACTURING AND DISTRIBUTING OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND HE MUCH BE CHARGED AS SUCH.
