Garret Bullish closed his entire 38K ZEC ($58M) short over the past 1.5 hours using market orders, pushing the price up from $1,490 to $1,530 (+2.7%) and driving funding on Hyperliquid above 170% annualized. He claimed it was a partial hedge, but lost $35M on the short without selling any of the spot holdings. He remains long 1,333 BTC ($108M) on Hyperliquid. hypurrscan.io/address/0x92ea…
A screenshot Garret Bullish just shared on Twitter shows him withdrawing 68.08K ZEC from Binance on December 24 last year, worth $29.7M at the time. The same wallet withdrew another 134K ZEC, worth $58.6M, minutes earlier. t1dHheg2SkTGBMK1VsCPwsqJ3Gccsnen7rf He then shielded all 202.08K ZEC, but unshielded it minutes later and still holds the entire amount. t1gGCYpyURMo2FcYDSqeR8pgp2Kx9rnT72V At $1,580 per ZEC, those holdings are now worth $320M, up from $88.3M at the time. So his 38K ZEC ($60M) short on Hyperliquid, currently showing an unrealized loss of $34.5M, can be seen as a partial hedge against his spot holdings. 0x92ea19eceb7a8de0f50978a1583a5d8b018050e9

Another mid 9 fig extraction by the BNB CEX cartel. Don’t try to short this stuff. Valuations don’t mean anything when insiders control 99% of the supply.
I recently started tracking some of these wallets involved in these BNB Chain pump-and-dumps, and the scale of it is pretty insane. Bitget, Gate, Binance Alpha, and Aster all purely exist so this BNB scam cartel can make a few hundred million dollars a year manipulating these coins. They, for example, made over $100M from $LAB alone.

SmartestMoney is up half a billion dollars in under two years after going all in on HYPE and doubling down near the bottom.

He still hasn’t sold any HYPE during this pump, but recently paid off all his onchain loans and withdrew all his HYPE from lending protocols.

2 wallets holding a combined 100 BTC worth $8M just moved the funds to a new address after sitting untouched for 16.5 years. The BTC was mined on March 2, 2010, across two different addresses, when there wasn’t even a liquid Bitcoin exchange yet and trades were still happening OTC, meaning BTC essentially had no real market price. Satoshi Nakamoto was also still actively mining BTC at the time. mempool.space/tx/87abbc3746f… mempool.space/tx/fc2f3c54ed1…

Hmm, found more wallets. It looks like 600 BTC just moved from wallets dating back to 2010 into 12 new addresses: bc1q7ezj0rzhpqjs67r89ykxw7kkdjtm745autx5z2 bc1qhnkl8jq3a6wfr03qxvmppy4nvw30s3v2z8sczh bc1qxw2sert9s9hrhgch3awng480e27f698pp7678s bc1quhk9z6pygny8kf4tgtakp2hddczzz759cfcjcx bc1q40gnfe5qyrtwkngmemzwwdgxg73ep2e9w4xc6p bc1qjrq9f8m5yn6jw35cgf0qt6pw54g5hlz92pwj95 bc1qzh3mr7rq272a22elray0rnn4l4lfzgad8cg8rt bc1qgv4dz7umcllewy6edjevswuemfzwu77ugw97zr bc1q8s6v5hkx4zxdcpze96kzqzl43ss4502wvp9496 bc1qyzt9qwnac5aj0e839qe9457x5msx4atln43k5r bc1qh388jepaz3l63ufnpj6ptct5zf83s5ramser9v bc1qgfdxxevzutqyhw8d3qe3nhf2sm7f4yqznc6au9

I’m not here to cast judgement anymore, I used to moral police this stuff a lot more (paid groups, course sellers, etc.) but the reality is people continue to be naïve/stupid enough to fall for these schemes. I will say, for those looking to have a serious career (whatever that may mean to you) think carefully. You’ll be tempted throughout your career with the appeal and ease of short term gains at the expense of long term earnings. I’ve been offered extraordinary amounts of money to run/invest businesses that don’t align with my values. I’ve never once regretted missing out. There’s an old story my old boss used to say on sources of wealth: “Towards the end of your life all you have are friends and dinner parties, polite society. Eventually you’ll go around a table and everyone is recounting their accomplishments. One person cured this disease, one person was a novelist, then it gets to you, and you’re the private prisons guy.” Not all money is good money, there’s an inherent darkness in some people you’ll meet along your journey.
