Every app builder has access to the same models, so the code generation itself is not where anyone wins long term. We're building Modelence around what happens after the code exists: hosting it, keeping the database healthy, and getting deploys and migrations right while real users are on the app.

Telling a restaurant to cancel the delivery apps would be a lie. They bring you customers who've never heard of you. But your Friday regular isn't a new customer, and you're still paying a cut on him. That's the narrow version. It's also the true one.

You can now deploy your Modelence apps to Canada (@awscloud ca-central-1). Until now every app ran in US West (Oregon). Starting today, you pick your region when you create an environment - your data, compute and file storage will stay in that region.

Ordering page worked first try. Placed a real order to prove it. Then: where does the order go? Nowhere. I'd built the half the customer sees and none of the half that makes the food. The second user is the one every first build forgets.

Built a restaurant an ordering page from one sentence. When you press Place Order, the app throws away the prices the browser sent it and looks every line up again in the database. Nobody asked for that. It's the difference between a page that looks like a store and software that can hold a register.

A barber shop pays $30-50/month for online booking, forever. Or someone builds them one and charges less than that. That second option used to require being a developer.

Finished a booking app, booked an appointment as a customer, then clicked through to the admin dashboard and got rejected by my own app. Which was correct. Guests book. Staff have roles. Getting locked out of your own build is a good sign.

Screenshotted a layout bug. Attached it. Typed one sentence about what was wrong. Fixed in 55 seconds. The first build is what gets demoed. The tenth small fix is what decides if you ship.
