In the next version of the itch app you can... make your itch games show up in Steam ๐Ÿ˜…. This has been a long outstanding request that should make it easier to play your itch games without having to change apps on Steam Deck or Big Picture mode

We've had AI generation disclosure requirement for many months now, including filters on the browse page. Adding a homepage or account level filter is a good idea.

We have both filters and require asset creators to complete AI disclosure before publishing. People who lie on classification get their pages delisted.

We do have a filter, either the No AI tag, or the "AI Assistance" filter box on the browse sidebar We hope to add better filters to search soon!

In addition to the regular tag, there's a filter box the assets sidebar. Reminder that *all* asset creators are required to complete AI disclosure to save their page. Lying on classification will result in deindexing.

We have strict rules about tagging content. If people abuse tags and lie they get deindexed. It's always been like this before even AI. itch.io/docs/creators/qualitโ€ฆ Asset uploaders are forced to complete the AI disclosure to publish their page.

This warning will now display to all external links in comments in addition to the updates we've made to the spam detector. Hopefully this will prevent people from getting tricked, which will discourage the spammers from pushing so aggressively.

A lot of hype being posted about the GPTs feature. Here's my review: it exemplifies the issues with LLMs I created a simple one to reference the Lapis documentation. It gets basic questions wrong, overly relying on existing training over "Knowledge" to produce wrong answers

Looks like @linode decided to randomly take down @itchio again. Once again, for a single malware report that we promptly handled. They ran automated an task to disable our web app despite confirming the issue had been resolved.
