The BBC's assault on Glasgow should concern everyone in Scotland. The city is collateral damage just as everything in Scotland is when it comes to politics and the BritNats. The constant caricaturing of Scotland as inferior, a mess and in permanent crisis needs to be called out.

There, in a nutshell, is why you shouldn't compare Scotland to other European nations with respect to drug related deaths. Every other nation is in control of its own drug laws. Scotland isn't. The 'Drug death capital of Europe' label is politically motivated tabloid trash.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said he does not support decriminalising drugs for personal use, days after Scotland's First Minister John Swinney backed it.

The moment BBC Scotland invited Scottish Labour MSP Monica Lennon to attack the SNP over fire & rehire on Radio Scotland is the moment Labour's fire & rehire threat in Birmingham last year should have been raised. In not doing so the station stands accused of bias.
Moreover, the Birmingham situation is still unresolved after twenty months. The 'fire & rehire' threat was never a national news story on the BBC. No Labour minister was ever challenged despite Birmingham being run by Labour.

Two political interviews on the same subject. A different approach adopted in each case. The SNP interviewee faced a far more aggressive interview than his Labour counterpart. Historical comments were dug up for the SNP.
No such review of the past was carried out for the Labour interviewee. The SNP interview was half as long but was peppered with interruptions. The Labour interviewee enjoyed an interrogation free platform.

OK, simple question. Why is Unison refusing to ballot its members on a proposed new pay offer? Is the trade union using members as pawns to provoke the council? The BBC doesn't seem to want to scrutinise the actions of the trade union.

Friday's Radio Scotland Breakfast is radio at its worst. Fiona Stalker telling listeners at seven minutes past eight that the time was eight minutes past seven epitomised the show. There's a reason Amy Irons fronts lightweight magazine show. There's no depth to her interviews.
This morning was again a mix of toe-curling 'banter' and dreadful interviews by both Irons and Stalker. The former doesn't appear to realise she has to challenge interviewees. The latter had another interrupting fit when interviewing Neil Gray. Stalker lost track of time and ran over the 0700 news by a full six minutes. All news bulletins that followed were late as a result.
Friday's Radio Scotland Breakfast sounds like a bad pilot show. The presenters are both awful. It really should be canned.

We have to assume both Laura Maciver and @mmgeissler [or their team] did *basic* research of what Sarwar said during the GE. If so both know 53,000 new jobs were promised.
The question then is why this figure was withheld from interviews? Why is a 10,000 figure being accepted without challenge?
Why are BBC Scotland presenters refusing to mention Anas Sarwar's 53,000 Scottish jobs pledge in interviews about GB Energy? Laura Maciver and Martin Geissler are now using a 10,000 jobs figure.
Sarwar said GB Energy was going to create 53,000 new Scottish jobs, not 10,000. He said it *multiple* times. It was all over the media during the general election including on BBC Scotland. He said it on the news and in a live TV debate.
Why are BBC Scotland presenters helping to protect Labour by rewriting history? Why isn't Michael Shanks being taken to task over Sarwar's 53,000 jobs lie and his own 1000 HQ jobs lie? Where are the Scottish Labour politicians who lied to the Scottish electorate in 2024?
