Very poor understanding of mobile ecosystems from CCIA. Maybe CCIA would like to explain how the 500 AppStore review employees who have to review millions of apps, none (or most of which) are neither software engineers or security professionals are able to validate that that the

software is not breaching the security and privacy of the customer. The question is of course rhetorical.. they can't. The security and privacy HAS to be built into the platform layer just as it is on the web.

CCIA have also neglected to mention that Apple has banned browser competition on iOS and has ensured that non-proprietary, free and open, Web Apps have not been able to compete. Apps which are interoperable, far more secure & private and don't require paying a 30% tax.

For an organization that has the mantra "Open Markets, Open Systems and Open Networks", you really should have an introspective look at your policies, and perhaps your source of funding.
