Shaykh Ibrahim bin Adel Hamzah Al-Madani was born in Madinah on 8 Dhul-Hijjah 1397H, he grew up in a religious household and studied Qur’anic Studies. His maternal grandfather was a Hafiz of the Qur’an and had a great influence on his upbringing. His journey with the Adhan began remarkably early. At just 15 years old, he began calling the Adhan at his local masjid in Madinah. He later continued as a Muadhin at Masjid al-Maddah before Allah honoured him with appointment as a Muadhin of Masjid al-Haram in Ramadan 1439H (2018). Although a son of Madinah and influenced by its traditional style of Adhan, he also learnt the Makkan style through his connection with the late Shaykh Abdul Latif Mulla, a former Muadhin of Masjid al-Haram. His beautiful and distinctive voice became familiar to millions through the Adhan and the Takbeerat of the Haram. But perhaps even more beautiful was what took place away from the microphones. One of the muezzins of the Haram said that Shaykh Ibrahim would sometimes remain for days in the Mukabbariyyah, hardly leaving it, devoting himself to worship particularly during the final part of the night. Those who knew him described him as a man of remarkable ‘ibadah, devotion and closeness to Allah. He passed away at dawn on Monday, 10 Rabi‘ al-Thani 1448H, at approximately 48 years of age. His Janazah will be prayed in Masjid al-Haram, and he will be laid to rest in Jannat al-Mu‘allah. A life that began with the Adhan in Madinah at 15, and ended after years of calling millions to the prayer from the House of Allah. May Allah accept every Adhan he called, every hidden act of worship in the depths of the night, forgive his shortcomings, raise his ranks in Jannatul Firdaws and make the voices he called towards Salah a witness for him on the Day of Judgement.

Almighty. Calm our troubled hearts. Let peace and tranquility reign once again. There’s so much noise and confusion around. It’s easy to be distracted and lose focus. Many useless things demand our attention. Guide us. Keep us firm in faith; always close to You. Aameen.

Whatever happens, even when all your plans fail and all doors seem shut, cry out to the Almighty, the All-Knowing, seek refuge in the Him. He'll find a way out for you. Trust Him.

When people hurt you as they often do, don't take that hurt and confide in others. Use it to get closer to the Almighty. Confide in Him. Let Him heal you and deal with them.

Almighty. Protect us from the evil around. Grant us strength and good patience to cope with our trials. Help us surrender to Your Decree because You know what we don’t. You know what we need. You know what’s best for us. Aameen.

When you become excessively dependent on someone, the Almighty will detach you from the person just to show you where your strength lies. Remember, we need people but never as much as we need the Almighty.

Your struggles are not a sign of weakness but proof that the Almighty has given you sufficient strength. He loves you. Every test is a step towards something greater. Embrace it.

Be mindful when angry. When you react thinking you must hurt those who hurt you, think again. In fact, you’re hurting yourself. That’s why it’s always better to calm down first & act rationally When you choose to react immediately, the consequences may be disastrous.

We need love, kindness and care to get through that tough week, the grey skies and storm clouds in life. For the times when things go wrong, when we feel lost, when everyone else appears to be doing well, know that the Almighty hasn’t abandoned us. He knows.

Don’t let Satan make you doubt. He’s good at that. Doubt creates uncertainties in your heart & mind. It makes you feel uneasy & directionless. You need to anchor your faith firmly & take control of your life. The Almighty is always there to steady you & get you back on track.

Waiting is not easy. We feel exhausted at times, on the verge of giving up. We may even lower our expectations. But we have to press on because only You know when the time is right. Almighty. Keep our faith firm while waiting, trusting You always.

Most of the things we worry about in life are insignificant. Most of them we can’t control anyway. It’s the Almighty’s way of showing us who is at the helm. So let's focus on being the best version of ourselves. Hand over the rest to Him.

Almighty. Help us cultivate the best manners. Grant us sound faith and conviction. Forgive our sins; the small, the major, those done privately and openly. Grant our soul strength and purify it. You have complete power over every aspect of our existence. Aameen

Don’t worry about being popular and loved by the masses. If you choose to get closer to the Almighty and live a life of obedience, you’ll find yourself walking alone mostly. It may seem daunting and frightening at times. But don’t worry. He’s your Guide and Protector.

It’s human nature to take things for granted. Don’t put things off till tomorrow. Be disciplined enough to do it today. Things might be different tomorrow. The ones you love may no longer be there. Nothing is guaranteed. That’s a reality. What if tomorrow never comes for you??

Almighty. Protect our children. Grant them a heart of faith, keep them healthy & heal all those who are ill. Bless them with good, righteous friends & those who will remind them of You. Grant them a strong sense of right & wrong & keep them safe. Aameen
