It’s much more than an App. It’s a movement for the formerly unprofitable Skilled Workers across Nigeria. Connecting the best, beautiful minds in trade.

My Founders, My Founders 💚🇳🇬🤭🚀🌚
When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen (Isaiah 60:22).
We just won $100,000 at the Build with Gemini XPRIZE and I am so overwhelmed.
When the competition started we kept asking ourselves what we should build, and eventually I asked, what about Nigeria? I thought about my mum, who has been a tailor for more than 30 years and practically raised my twin sister and me on that income. It was hard sometimes, because her customer base was so small, and she would often wait weeks before a customer paid for a completed job. In Nigeria this is a huge problem for a population where most of the employment sector is made up of artisans. So we built MyFixam, the marketplace where you can find and book verified artisans and pay straight on the app.
The competition had more than 26,000 participants and 1,400 projects. On Friday I pitched live at Moonshot Live, the Oscars for optimism, in front of more than 1,500 people, to judges Cathie Wood, Palmer Luckey, Mark Pincus, Anousheh Ansari and Logan Kilpatrick. To make it to the top 3, I am more than grateful.
Thank you @xprize, @GeminiApp and @PeterDiamandis.

When Ms Efayy said “she was having one of those weeks where every day seemed to blur into the next, so she decided it was time to indulge in a little evening luxury. A captivating movie, a few games, beautifully indulgent small chops, & the luxury of having absolutely nowhere…

savoury meatballs, and all the little bites that make an evening feel extra special. All through @myfixam, and the entire experience was effortlessly seamless. Honestly, i love how this app continues to make everyday living feel a little more refined, convenient, and enjoyable..

to be. Just her favourite comforts, and an evening that asked for nothing more than to be enjoyed. She found a small chops vendor with the takeout, a delightful spread of golden, freshly made small chops — generously filled meat pies, soft & fluffy buns, indulgent doughnuts..

@myfixam is one of five finalists in Google's Build with Gemini XPRIZE .
The competition had over 26,000 participants and more than 1,400 submissions from around the world, each building a real business with AI in 90 days. On Friday, September 25, I'll pitch MyFixam live at the Moonshot Summit in Los Angeles to Cathie Wood, Palmer Luckey, Mark Pincus, Anousheh Ansari and Logan Kilpatrick, with $2 million in prizes being awarded.
We launched MyFixam on July 2 to solve a problem we grew up around. In Nigeria, most people hire artisans through WhatsApp and word of mouth, pay a stranger and hope the job gets done, while artisans finish work and wait weeks to get paid. MyFixam holds the customer's money until the job is confirmed done, so neither side has to take that risk alone. Gemini runs much of our operations, from job intake and matching to moderation and support.
