The Tshwane Metro Police Department’s Drug Unit arrested three men for possession of nyaope in Mabopane.
Some of the drugs were found in a car and others were found at safe house in Mabopane. The suspects had attempted to evade arrest, but were quickly apprehended.

🏡Mabopane Housing and Stormwater Infrastructure Project: We conducted an oversight visit to the Mabopane Extension 1 Housing and Stormwater Infrastructure Project. The project is a joint initiative by the City of Tshwane and Gauteng Department of Housing and Human Settlements. Once completed, the project will deliver 1,576 housing units in Mabopane.
👮🏽♂️ Law Enforcement Operation: We attended to an area of concern in Pretoria West with the Tshwane Metro Police Department. Makeshift settlements had been built in a large public area and they were being utilised as brothels by women and men. We removed the settlements. We have intensified law enforcement efforts to make our city safe.
👮🏽♂️Bad Buildings Operation: We joined the city’s Bad Buildings Operation in Pretoria. We inspected properties in the area that were violating municipal by-laws.
👨🏽💻Tshwane Varsity Hackathon: I had an opportunity to speak to students who were participating in the 2026 Tshwane Varsity Hackathon. The competition aims to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and problem-solving among varsity students. The students spend hours with the task of developing practical and technology driven solutions that align with themes anchored by municipal priorities.
🇿🇦🗳️ActionSA Elections Canvassing | Mamelodi: We joined ActionSA volunteers for election canvassing in Mamelodi. We interacted with residents and hoisted ActionSA election posters.
⚖️City of Tshwane Council Meeting: I attended the City’s monthly council meeting at Tshwane House. We acknowledged and pledged our commitment to make our communities safer as the devastating impact of Gender-Based Violence continues to impact women.
🇿🇦🗳️ActionSA Local Government Elections Manifesto Launch: To fix South Africa, we must fix local government. On Saturday, ActionSA launched its 2026 Local Government Elections manifesto which outlines plans and priorities areas to improve local government.
