patents don't mean invention nor original thought and while it's not my job to piss in anyone's cereal it's like saying chicks are smarter cos they shop more or whatever - the two things don't correlate so what the fuck - so as a standalone factoid it doesn't tell us anything other than niggers knew where the patent office was and used it, which is cool i guess but i'm not sure what anyone is meant to glean from it because if you start asking people to look into things from an innovation angle you find most of the patents are fucking useless (not a nigger-specific metric it's just a general truth with patents as a whole) and the rare ones that did have use and the we wuzzery crew like to flex in februaries is generally taking something that someone else invented, bolting some nonsense to it and being impressed they didn't blow themselves or other up like refrigerated trucks et al or completely overplaying their role in someone else's work so while i'm not gonna dispute the nice headline you found i'm struggling to see what we're meant to do with it.
