I came into the esports scene at 16/17 years old. Within 2 years of me working at local tourneys and attending events like LCS and MLG I had multiple men that were between the ages of 21 to mid 30s try to engage in "inappropriate conversations" and slide into my DMs to talk about more than which LCS teams we liked... Luckily most of them were only online but some tried being physical in person. Many, if not all of them, knew that I was still in high school and at least 2 of them were married and in their mid 30s. On the flip side, I've also had multiple older men be fantastic mentors to me within this industry. They offered advice and guidance without ever trying to cross the line of professionalism. It's really not that hard. Wanting to hang out with or talk to high schoolers in your 30s is fucking crazy.
