A LETTER TO THE NEXT MINER Im writing this in the early midnight hours for the person arriving after the noise, but before the outcome. If you have only just found $ORE, the first thing I would tell you is to slow down. Since the first days of mining in V1, when the protocol was still an unfamiliar thing being tested in public by people willing to spend their time on an idea that the wider market had not yet learned how to price. Looking back, I wish I had understood more clearly that early participation is not a race to certainty. It is an invitation to pay attention. The work is not merely to acquire a token. The work is to understand the system that produces it, the rules that govern it, and the reasons those rules may matter long after the first excitement has passed. Do not mistake activity for understanding. There will always be prices moving, opinions arriving, and people speaking with an authority that honestly none of us have earned. None of that can substitute for the simple discipline of reading the mechanics for yourself. Ask what is fixed. Ask what can change. Ask who benefits when the rules are followed, and who benefits when they are rewritten. A monetary system deserves your time only when its answers can be verified without needing to trust the person giving them. Mining teaches you something that markets often conceal. Participation changes the relationship. When you have spent time in a system, watched its incentives operate, and seen its rules remain where they were promised to be, you stop looking at it as a chart and start seeing it as an architecture. You understand that every unit has a history. It was not simply issued to someone because they arrived closest to the source of power. It was earned through a process open to anyone prepared to show up. There will be days when $ORE feels unnoticed. There will be days when attention is elsewhere and conviction feels like an isolated position. Do not treat those moments as proof that the original thesis has failed. Treat them as an opportunity to revisit it honestly. If the mechanics remain sound, if the rules remain intact, and if your reason for being here is still true, patience is not passive. It is participation across time. You do not need to become a believer overnight. You do not need to borrow anyone else’s certainty. Learn the system. Test your assumptions. Keep your standards high. Then decide what you are willing to stand behind when no one is watching, when no one is liking your X tweets, when you feel like the newbie in Discord, or when you only see 2 ORE in your wallet compared to seeing hundreds or thousands in others. The next miner does not need to arrive early enough to imitate the first. They only need to arrive early enough to understand what they have found. -NSE

I truly think the most compelling thing about grid mining is what it removes. The ASIC. The warehouse. The electrical infrastructure. The logistics. The depreciation cycles. What remains is remarkably what is pure. The capital, the probability, the competition and the issuance. Grid mining is not the rejection of traditional POW. It is the evolution of its mechanism. Tip of the hard hat to @HardhatChad and his vision of $ORE. I truly don’t think the majority of people grasp the economic rails that have been laid by what is being built.

The ORE community is a different breed. They build on ORE, talk about it, write about it, and help shape product decisions. They’re hardcore. Here’s another community member stepping up and contributing to the ecosystem Hard hats off to all the ORE community contributors.

Gonna follow this one up with what I have found to be almost gospel truth. It has applied to most assets with a cult like following. In my belief, it applies to $ORE also. Crypto has a strange relationship with time. It can ask you to sit with an idea for months, sometimes years, while almost nothing appears to happen. The market moves around you. Other things run. Attention migrates elsewhere. What you hold begins to feel less like conviction and more like an unanswered question. This is where most positions are actually lost—not during a collapse but during the time where being “diamond handed” seems to have no reward. There is an almost masochistic quality required to remain with something you have studied deeply while the market gives you absolutely no evidence that your patience will ever be rewarded. You have to become comfortable looking wrong for longer than you thought possible. And then, occasionally, time compresses. Months of inactivity are repriced in seventy-two hours. A market that seemed incapable of moving suddenly becomes violent, and the move you spent a year imagining happens so quickly that there is almost no opportunity to reconsider your position once it begins. By the time certainty arrives, the price that uncertainty offered is gone. This is one of the recurring lessons of crypto; the waiting is long, but the recognition can be extraordinarily short. $ZEC offered a particularly vivid example of how quickly years of accumulated indifference can give way to renewed attention. Other projects will have their own moments, though no one can know beforehand which ones, or when. That is why conviction cannot simply mean believing that the price will eventually rise. It has to mean understanding something well enough to remain present while almost everyone else has temporarily decided it does not matter.

Patterns outlive people and my bet is that the mechanism of the grid will outlive temporary greed. Markets can reward speculation for a season, but durable monetary systems are built around rules that survive the people participating in them. Reposting for clout. Victory lap. $ZEC
I remember the price action of BTC 2016/2017 leading up to $1k and eventually onward to 20k. This Zcash price movement has that same nostalgic euphoria , backed by pure cypherpunk ethos. It’s been 9 long years but I’ve missed this feeling.

These guys continue innovating and doing smart things. I love this idea. The clever part is that this is a mining pun that also happens to be a real market-structure upgrade. In traditional mining, an ore reserve is not “all the metal in the ground.” It is the portion that is economically extractable at current prices and costs. solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp is doing the crypto version of that - instead of always buying at the prevailing spot price, the protocol parks a slice of mining revenue as buy-side liquidity below spot. When the market dips into those ranges, the same $SOL buys more solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp. When price rises, new bids get stacked under the new spot. It is a trailing, protocol-owned buy wall. Smart. I love this team.
ORE buybacks just got smarter. Introducing the ORE Reserve. ORE mining generates protocol revenue that funds ORE buybacks. The Reserve will use a portion of that revenue to place buy-side liquidity below the current market price. Initially, 1% of protocol revenue will be allocated across multiple price ranges below spot. The remaining 99% will continue through the existing buyback mechanics. This allows the protocol to buy more ORE with the same amount of capital when prices fall. ORE acquired by the Reserve follows the existing buyback flow: 90% buried. 10% distributed to stakers. When price rises, new liquidity is added below spot. When price falls into the Reserve's liquidity ranges, that liquidity is used to buy ORE. Track the ORE Reserve, liquidity positions, and price ranges in real time: ore(.)com/reserve
