There are some things you simply cannot manufacture.
King Oyo’s place in our hearts was never bought, voted for, or lobbied for. It was something we watched grow naturally with time. For many of us, he was simply part of our generation a King we grew up knowing, watching, and identifying with.
He never needed to hire bloggers, use the media, or create a narrative around himself. His presence spoke for itself. What he represented felt natural, and that is what made it special.
That kind of connection cannot be recreated through politics, money, or publicity. Some things are simply born, and they become part of who we are.
Rest in peace, King Oyo. You were, and will always remain, the King of our generation.
