Co-founder & CEO @superbryn_ai | Currently obsessed with whats next in AI + Voice | 2x founder | Backed by @Kalaari

San Francisco
A lot of you have found me here over the last couple of weeks, so probably a good time to introduce myself properly :) I'm Nikkitha, co-founder and CEO of @SuperBryn_AI. We're building the reliability layer for voice agents, and these days I split my time between Bangalore and SF. A few things on how I got here. > Was born in Kerala and grew up in the Middle East. > After graduating, I decided I wanted to become a civil servant and spent 3 years preparing for the UPSC. (failed pretty miserably, btw 😅) > During my final year of preparation, I joined a startup, and somewhere along the way, I fell completely in love with the world of startups. > Eventually started Shoppre, an ecomm cross border tech comapany and grew it to ~$2M in annual revenue. > Shoppre was profitable and scaling, but I knew I wanted to build in AI. So I stepped away from operations (the team runs it beautifully on their own) and chose to start from 0 again. > For almost a year, @DrNeethuJoy and I went through the whole 0→1 mess. > After a lot of iterating, that became SuperBryn. > Raised $1.2M from @Kalaari and angels, and today we work with companies around the world on making their voice agents reliable. > Outside work, I like to dance, make art when I get the time, and give an unreasonable amount of attention to my dog, Django :) If you're new here, hello 👋 I mostly write (or at least try to) about what I'm learning while building SuperBryn: Voice AI, enterprise AI, startups, customers, and occasionally the strange career decisions that got me here.

135× That's how much SuperBryn's monthly live-call monitoring volume grew in the last 4 months. Yesterday, I got to share that journey at Google for Startups Demo Day! 🚀 We were one of 20 startups selected from nearly 2,500 applications for the accelerator. Over the past few months, a lot more teams have started running their voice agents through SuperBryn. Every live conversation shows us another way voice agents break in the real world, and that's helping shape how we build testing and observability. For me, one of the best parts of the program was working directly with Google's research and cloud teams on our evaluation architecture. Our mentors also pushed us on how we think about product, GTM, and scaling. Really grateful to the entire @GoogleStartups team. And to @DrNeethuJoy and everyone at SuperBryn who keeps shipping. ❤️ Lots more to build!

Collections is one of the most promising use cases for voice AI. Also one of the least forgiving. In fact, debt collection companies make up the largest segment of our customers. People are naturally defensive when discussing overdue payments. So naturally, an agent needs to navigate that resistance without being too pushy or giving in too easily. And there’s very little room for error. So we mapped 16 companies building in this space (A–Z) along with the 5 most common ways voice agents break : AgentCollect, AviaryAI, Callbook AI, CollectWise, Domu, @floatbot , Gail, @interface_ai, Kastle, Kato, @PayNearMe , @prodigaltech , Salient, @Skit_ai , @SymendInc and @veritusagent . Which industry should we map next?

An hour with @manishm at @stripe The best mentors don't hand you answers. They ask the hard questions that make you rethink your own. Grateful for every one of them 🙏

@SuperBryn_AI is now part of the @NVIDIA Inception Program! 🚀 Neethu (@DrNeethuJoy) and I are pretty excited about this one. Though I suspect our research team might be even more excited 😅 We're working on making voice agents more reliable, and access to NVIDIA's compute and technical resources opens up some interesting possibilities. And this includes building our own specialized evaluation models. Excited to see what we can build with this! Can't wait to show you what's next :)

What left our GTM team wondering how on earth they'd market it? A research paper. 😅 We have a little tradition at SuperBryn where our research team breaks down interesting papers for the entire company. Engineering, design, growth, sales. No one is spared :)) Some questions get VERY technical. Others are just “Wait, can you explain that again?” And I love both. I think this is one of my favourite things about building a research-first company. Everyone gets curious about the underlying science, even if their day job has nothing to do with research. And sometimes, those papers leave us with more questions than answers. The latest paper was on STT benchmarking. Let's just say our GTM team had a few questions. 😅 We've been working on something big in this space. So stay tuned. 👀

We cut a voice agent’s latency from ~1.5s to ~700ms without changing a single model. The fix? Mostly infra. Two things made the difference: → Keep your STT, LLM, TTS and orchestration geographically close. → Don't open a new TTS connection every turn. Reuse pre-warmed ones. Before switching to faster models, check where your milliseconds go. Try these with your own voice agents and let me know if you see a difference!

The question I probably get asked the most: how do you know your voice agent is actually working in production? I think of it like blood work. One marker tells you very little. Grouped, they show a pattern, and the pattern points to what needs fixing. Voice just has more layers.

Big week for @revragai 🚀 Fresh off their $2.5M seed round, Neeraj, co-founder of Revrag, joined @nikkithashanker for a quick rapid-fire on Voice AI and the future of in-app agents. Huge congratulations to the entire @revragai team!

Is there a GTM tool where you can define your own signals and it just gives you leads based on them? And I don't mean the standard “raised a round, hiring SDRs” stuff. Signals specific to my market. What are you all using?
