Crazy to think that in 2026 we've had:
• Anthropic's head of safeguards quit, warning "the world is in peril" (Feb)
• OpenAI dissolved its own mission alignment team (Feb)
• Unrestricted AI usage for the Pentagon (causing several researchers to quit)
• Several AI models escaping sandbox testing (Since ~Q2)
• 1,100+ frontier-lab employees signing a letter begging the government to pace AI development (Jul-Aug)
And today yet another top researcher saying this.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

We are supposedly at war to stop Iran from enriching the uranium we “obliterated” over a year ago.
Yesterday we signed a deal to help Saudi Arabia enrich uranium.
The first time the United States has ever helped another country enrich uranium on foreign soil.
The Saudis refused the inspection protocol 140 other countries accept. Too intrusive, they said.
Trump agreed. He signed a national security waiver to get around the rule.
The Saudis paid Kushner $100 million. They put $2 billion into his firm. They put another $6 billion into LIV Golf, which pays Trump properties to host its tournaments. They signed ten billion dollars in Trump-branded real estate deals in Jeddah and Riyadh. All in just the last few years.

The FBI still has 40 terabytes of video seized from Jeffrey Epstein’s properties.
The public has never seen it.
Survivors have told me the full release matters because they were drugged and cannot remember the full scope of what was done to them—or who all was there.
The evidence exists.

Yes, sirs, I’m speaking to you directly in this format because I believe the media is captured.
You swore an oath to the Constitution, not to a political party, politician, donor, or foreign nation.
The country is in peril. Americans can feel it. Trust in institutions is collapsing, and many no longer believe they are being told the truth.
If you see threats to the Republic, constitutional government, or national sovereignty, history will remember who spoke up and who remained silent.
The American people do not need your political loyalty. They need your fidelity to the oath you took.

You have an opportunity to do something patriotic on your way out of Congress:
Release the remaining Epstein files.
List every person publicly associated, accused, protected, mentioned, or shielded.
No more selective leaks.
No more redactions protecting powerful family names.
No more pretending the public can handle everything except the names of abusers.
The American people deserve the truth and are exhausted by the empty promises of transparency.
