Design tools are not just there to let you 'do your job'. Design tools should allow you to venture into the unknown and uncover ideas you didn't even know you could have.

i wanted to explore simpler shaders in @figma that could potentially be used for more subtle, quiet interactions. thinking about making a small library of them too. curious if there are any particular effects you find yourself needing quite often?

First time kicking the tires of Figma motion for this. - Quick mockup - Eng test (check the glass effect would be performant) - Figma motion to get the timing worked out - Final asset creation - Final tweaks in code From idea to live in just over a day

One of our amazing UX Writers, Henry Freedland, wrote this beautiful piece on creative work and I asked if it was ok to share externally, because it deserves to be read: creative-brain.figma.site/

Let’s - respectfully - fucking go!
Excited to share that @cmmnknwledge, the team behind Flipbook, is joining @figma. In our conversations with the Figma team, we found a deep alignment in a shared focus on amplifying human creativity while centering human agency. Looking forward to sharing more soon.

AI has collapsed the cost of building products, but not the cost of knowing what to build. - The old loop: spec, scope, build - The new loop: build, play, design, ship Prototypes are cheap. Great products still require taste, judgment, and a clear understanding of what users actually need. a16z's @joshelman on the artifact a product manager actually produces: a16z.news/p/product-manageme…

gpt-6-astraは本当にヤバくて、正直ほぼ勝てない域まで到達してる。 今まで、いちデザイナーとしてAI(Fable5/Opus5/gpt-5.6あたり)にデザイン品質で負ける気しなかったけど...全部ひっくり返された。 Figmaを実際に使って、BIからページデザインまで作成。 みんなこれどう評価するのか知りたい。

Built a Figma plugin that puts vectors, text, groups and frames in perspective. Couldn't find a good one so I made it myself. Create custom perspective grids, spheres, logos and mockups easy Free in Figma community ⬇️

We're hiring a Brand Designer to help us tell Figma's launch stories! You'll turn product strategy and feature complexity into stories people can feel: storyboards, styleframes, a visual direction you carry all the way through. We're looking for someone who is self-directed, comfortable in the messy early stages, and just as excited to find the right idea as to see it through. If you have a love for design, a passion for finding the interesting angle to a story, and a creative vision you can see through from start to finish, this one's for you! job-boards.greenhouse.io/fig…

Since releasing Figma Motion at Config, I was busy adding little quality of life improvements to the curve editor ➰ let's take a look at some of them! First up, vertical scaling! If you drag handles beyond bounds of the view, the graph scales to keep the handles in view.
