Over the last 12 months, he has attempted exactly 6 shots outside the paint. He credits James Harden for teaching him how to read the game. "When I was playing with Harden, before every game, he would have me come to him and tell him what the other team's pick-and-roll coverage usually was. That helped me because I learned how to read the game." (3/5)

Really perplexed how Brandon Miller at $209M/5Y happens when a lottery team signed Trey Murphy to $112M/4Y. There’s almost no reason for that discrepancy to exist, especially in this current CBA. Don’t love the move, just caps your team-building for the foreseeable future.

because it requires you to understand what you’re watching
I really noticed people don’t factor in off ball defense when they talk about how good players are defensively lol

Trevon Brazile looks like a guy, Denver might’ve got a gem at 35.

Cam Johnson got ejected for that? Super wack, it’s the preseason just let dudes get their time in.

Like what I’m seeing from the Rockets. Real good shot with the natural progression of their youth and additions/returns of some key vets they can push for a Top 3 spot. I wonder how much Reed Sheppard ends up playing this season, didn’t see much of him in the 1st half.

Alperen Sengun looks in shape and ready for the season. Noticeably springier with back-to-back blocks on a quick second jump, attacking the offensive glass hard, and even a nice off-hand dunk rolling to the hoop. Crazy that it’s already Year 6 for him, time flies.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again Tatums greatest asset is that he’s so versatile, a FO can just go bargain shopping for any talent and he can make it work Guy won a title with bigs who couldn’t rebound and guards who couldn’t dribble. He’s a historically elite enabler
Such a complete basketball player. Whatever’s asked of him he does, and he does it playing extremely hard. Go guard a 7 footer ✅ Get off the ball & spot up for 3 ✅ Set screens to create advantages ✅ Get your hands dirty & go rebound ✅ Get your teammates involved ✅

Jayson Tatum was getting everyone involved while still finding his own offense for Boston. 19 PTS, 8 REB, 6 AST, 2 STL vs Hornets

Jayson Tatum is under appreciated, quite literally a coaches dream. A bought in superstar, who’s versatility allows him to impact the game in so many ways.

Not tryna throw shade but when in the world did Cade become a better shooter than James Harden?? I had to a double take to see who the names on here actually are lol. B/R slop never fails to amaze me.

Really soft perimeter defense from the Cavs in Q1. ORL shot 10/15 from 2p range, largely in part to the Cavs having breakdowns on come-togethers and not containing the ball well enough. Both of the Goga lobs were a result of poor ball containment on the perimeter.

AJ Dybantsa showcasing his athleticism on a nasty sequence. Comes in flying for a big time putback and follows it with a steal then a breakaway slam. Young fella making plays.

Knicks still getting quality offense with KAT passing at the top of the key. Nice find to OG on the flex cut for the and-one. KAT’s shooting ability to pull Rudy away from the basket and his size to see over guys as a passer is such a nice blend.

Evan should go spend some time with KG, a shift in mentality would go a long way.
Kenny Atkinson plans to use Evan Mobley like Kevin Garnett this season 👀 “One of our assistants talked about how Kevin Garnett got his offense. He could get to a spot and just run, raise up and shoot over guys. I like that prototype…, but as I said, [Mobley’s] 24 years old, I’m continuing to find a full package.” (Via fearthesword.com/cavs-analys…)

Jaylon Tyson is so good man, I really hope the Cavs fully invest in him and trust him to close games. My favorite part from him today was how quick he was releasing his 3s, clearly a beat quicker than last season. He’s so talented offensively, I’ve got a lot of stock in him.

Evan Mobley hasn’t looked great. He’s had trouble finishing, catching, and handling the ball. Still preseason so nothing to worry about, but it would be an understatement to say this is a big season coming up for him.
