She's awake and enjoying lunch. We won't have any answers until later today, and the tissue samples won't come back until later in the week if not until next week.

Update on the manager situation. Me and my teammate recognized that our project lead was drowning- lack of experience, knowledge, and leadership skills. So we put together a new responsibilities matrix trying to take the burden off of her. She seemed fully on-board, only to immediately go into a meeting after ours to tell the full team leadership that we weren't doing our jobs.... I was going to play nice.

So, today my manager tells me my product lead is trying to throw me and my other teammate under the bus. Good thing leadership had our backs. I'm going to make it my mission to see she isn't renewed on her contract. Honestly don't know how she got hired, totally out of her depth

Not sure what to say here. Tonight was terrible. Long story short, my doorbell was going nuts and I could hear my neighbor screaming my name through the door. I opened the door to see her covered in blood and her wrist was cut open. Immediately applied pressure and yelled for the wife who called 911. I haven't seen blood like that since Afghanistan and it brought back some not great memories. I'm glad she came to me and I was able to be there when she was at her worst. I'm exhausted.

Friday we took these pictures of Evelyn, and I keep looking at them with the same mix of joy and awe. She received her heart on August 29 of last year, and she is doing so well. Thank you to her donor and their family for this gift, and thank you to everyone who has supported us through the last few years. We do not take a single day for granted.

So my HOA decides to contract with a fiber internet company and increase our annual dues from 1,000 to 1,900. No meetings, votes, notifications, nothing. The entire community is beyond upset. This is in the Woodlands Hills being built by Howard Hughes. Disgusting.

So I started a new role that's AI adjacent. Long story short, there's a lot of people in the corporate world that are having buyer's remorse now that the full costs are being realized.
Fun fact, the US army used up its entire annual budget of "unlimited" tokens in 48 days.
