This was the last year I'm giving out candy on Halloween. I live in a nice neighborhood. Every year the not-so-nice nearby neighborhoods flood my neighborhood with trick-or-treaters. This has been mostly black and hispanic kids for over a decade. Some kids could act a little entitled, but overall no real issues. This was the first year muslims outnumbered everybody. I think they have displaced a lot of the other minorities in the nearby not-so-nice neighborhoods. They showed up without costumes, didn't appear to understand how to get in line with other kids, were pushy and aggressive in their failure to form a queue, and when given candy they demanded more and tried to hold up the process for other kids - probably thinking that I would give more candy to get them to move along (which I didn't do). The adult women tried to get candy too. This was not an adult helping a child figure out how trick-or-treating works or getting candy so a smaller sibling doesn't feel left out. These were grown women (some of them old) trying to get candy completely independently of the mob of kids they were with. Fuck this. I'm done. If I decide to do anything at all next year, I'm dressing up like a Templar Knight and handing out bags of pork rinds.

This is a good video to share with friends and family. Especially if they were too young when it happened to remember how our lives were so much better before 9/11.

The gun is the most misunderstood object in Western civilization. Not a weapon. A technology. The technology that made the idea of equality physically real. 1. The longbow democratized warfare – a peasant could kill a knight with a stick and a string, and Agincourt proved it. The gun completed the process. The armored warrior class whose claim to social dominance rested on physical superiority became obsolete. The aristocratic monopoly on violence ended not with a philosophy but with a mechanism. The gun is the physical enforcement of the idea that all men are created equal. Which is why the American founders put it in the second amendment – not as an afterthought, but as the guarantee of everything else. 2. The Roman citizen had the right to bear arms. The Greek citizen had it. The English yeoman had it. The Swiss canton built its entire civilization on it. The disarming of the population has always been, in every civilization, in every century, the first act of the government that intends to stop being answerable to that population. Show me a disarmed population and I will show you a population that lost something else shortly after. 3. The Second Amendment is not about hunting. It is not about sport. It is about the relationship between the armed citizen and the state – the explicit constitutional acknowledgment that the citizen’s right to defend himself, his family, and his civilization against any threat, including the government itself, is not granted by the state and cannot be revoked by it. Power flows upward from the armed citizen, not downward from the armed state. 4. The gun defends the family. The woman alone with her children. The farmer on the edge of civilization. The shopkeeper in the neighborhood the police no longer patrol. The gun is the equalizer – the technology that makes the physical difference between a large man and a small woman irrelevant. Every argument for disarmament is, at its core, an argument that the state will protect you better than you can protect yourself. The evidence for this proposition is not encouraging. 5. In Europe, the disarmament is now nearly complete – and it happened precisely as the state’s ability and willingness to protect its citizens began to decline. The timing is not coincidental. A population that cannot defend itself must trust the state to defend it – which is a population that cannot effectively question whether the state is doing so. The dependency is the design. 6. The gun is a civilizational technology in the deepest sense: it requires responsibility, judgment, and the willingness to accept the consequences of your decisions. You cannot outsource it. You cannot have a committee fire it. It is the most anti-bureaucratic object ever invented – a direct, personal, consequential instrument that puts the full weight of the decision on the individual holding it. Which is precisely why the administrative state finds it intolerable. Not because it is dangerous. Because it is sovereign. 7. The family that can defend itself does not depend on the state for its most fundamental security. The civilization that can defend itself has not yet outsourced its survival to an institution that will negotiate the terms of that survival on its own behalf. The gun determines who controls violence – and therefore who controls everything that violence can threaten. Which is everything. The Sobieski who rode down the hill had a sword and sixty thousand horsemen. The equivalent today is the armed citizen who understands what he is defending and why. Every civilization that forgot this discovered it the hard way. The ones that remembered it are still here.
The French knights at Crécy and Agincourt were full of honor and panache. Beautiful horses, beautiful armor, beautiful feathers – formidable. Magnificent. The English were efficient. Guess who won? The longbowman was a peasant. No noble blood, no chivalric code, no magnificent plumes. He trained every Sunday by royal decree until he could put an arrow through armor at two hundred yards. He was not impressive to look at. He was devastating to face. The French knights found it offensive. To be killed by a commoner with a stick and a string – it violated the entire aesthetic of war. They charged anyway, because the code demanded it, because the horses were magnificent, because retreating was unthinkable for a man of honor. The arrows didn’t care about the code. This is the oldest story in Western civilization, told every century in a different costume. The beautiful system versus the efficient one. The one that looks right versus the one that works. The French had the better uniforms at Crécy, at Agincourt, at Waterloo, and in 1940. The pattern is not a coincidence. It is a civilizational tendency – the preference for the magnificent gesture over the effective one, for the noble form over the brutal function. The market is the longbow. Unglamorous, democratic, slightly disreputable in polite company – and devastating to any system that faces it while still believing that looking correct is the same as being right. The arrow doesn’t care about your panache. It never did.

For years, I’d spot the occasional wasp drifting through my yard. I left them alone, figuring they’d return the favor. Every now and then one would sting me, but it was rare enough that I didn’t make an issue of it. Then I started seeing more of them. Before long, I realized they were building nests in the eaves, under the deck, and in the woodpile. The population exploded. What had been a minor annoyance became a daily hazard. The more numerous they grew, the more territorial and aggressive they became. Eventually I faced a clear choice: I could tolerate the growing risk of being stung, not just me but the entire neighborhood or I could go after the nests and deal with the painful, messy fight that would surely follow. By the way… this isn’t really about wasps.

lol this was not the bedrock of how our nation grew. This was a provision put in place for blacks who had babies here and the people who drafted the laws specifically said it shouldn’t apply to everyone. The Supreme Court just ignored everything and rewrote history.

I refuse to condemn the Scottish man that had had enough. Save your pearl clutching. These people have been used, abused, and had their daughters r@ped and murdered with no justice whatsoever. They've been invaded and their government has sided with the invaders! At what point are you complicit in evil if you don't attempt to stop it? Was it the best plan? No. He should've taken a thousand men with him and went straight for the head of the snake. But do I understand his rage? Most certainly, I do. Every Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray make me want crusades. Every foreign driver that needlessly takes the life of an innocent American makes me want revolution. Every child that suffered at the hands of Epstein and his ilk makes me see red. I get it. The heart can only take so much before the hands start to put those awful feelings to good use. Beware, governments of the world. For it won't be the invaders people go after for long. It'll be you, and you'll have earned it.

Police in Belfast have come out in some force tonight as armoured Land Rovers and water cannons are used in the hope they subdue the anger of local people. People are so angry, I'm not at all convinced this will work.

If it's a jew being stabbed, we get police bodycam footage within hours. If it's a bunch of little white girls being stabbed, there is a media blackout for 6 months and we get arrested for talking about it. Got it.

The Mailbox Test, like the breakfast test, is an excellent way to tell who you can allow to wield power in your society. Goes like this: If someone is hurt trying to destroy someone else's stuff in order to take pleasure from their pain, do you sympathize with... The aggressor because he got hurt? Or with the guy who owns the stuff, because he wasn't the aggressor? You can have people in your society who fail the Mailbox Test. That's okay... they can work at hospices, or shelters for orphaned kittens, or something. But you cannot allow them to vote, or otherwise wield political power. Because if you do, they will open the gates of the city to the enemy. I am personally tired of everyone pretending that people who enjoy ruining things for random strangers are just kewt smol beans who are only aggressive because of all the complex socioeconomic factors and lack of resources. They knew someone would be hurt by what they did. They knew that someone had done literally nothing harmful to them. And those two ideas, in combination made them feel pleasure. And they went and did it. That is the sign of a rotten soul. Defending ourselves and our property is not just a right, it's a moral obligation. Otherwise, we just kick the can down the road for someone else to deal with, someone who may not be able to defend herself. I don't care if a vandal breaks his arms trying to destroy my stuff. Because I value my stuff more than a vandal's arms. And the fact that he tried to destroy somebody else's stuff shows that he, too, values his arms less than the opportunity to hurt somebody. We cannot allow such people inside the city, and we cannot give the keys to those who would open the gates for them.
This post is an excellent litmus test for understanding of just war theory. Despite the fact that I can see how effective this would be, I must oppose it because the damage it would do to my enemy (who bashes in my mailbox) would far outweigh the good of saving my mailbox. Its disproportionality is opposed by our duty in charity (and even justice) to watch out even for the good of our enemies. (Yes, by the way, I have had my mailbox bashed in by random vandals.)

No. I support gerrymandering when my side does it, and I oppose it when Democrats do it because Democrats are my enemy and I want them to lose everywhere. The Democratic Party masquerades as a legitimate political party while functioning as an illegitimate tool for foreigners, criminals, and their managerial handlers to sack and pillage this country at the expense of the American people. The appropriate number of Democratic seats at all levels of government is zero. The party itself should be banned, and at least half of its elected officials should be in prison.
I assume every Republican who’s bitching and moaning about Virginia tonight fully supports legislation to eliminate all gerrymandering nationwide, right? Look forward to the next president signing that into law!

A lot of what we assume was created through legal process was just made up by the victors The Constitution wasn't legally ratified under the Articles of Confederation Judicial review doesn't exist in the Constitution the Supreme Court just made it up The 14th Amendment was "ratified" under military occupation in the South after Lincoln dumped half the constitution in the toilet Nobody cares, most of this stuff is celebrated at this point You can just ignore the courts, if you win no one will care

To the police, their "authority" (privileges of work) are more important than their supposed responsibilities as keepers of the peace. They break the law to enforce tyrannical law, rather than protect good people against bad. All too often, the "bad" are the police. If they wish to be thought of as heroes, they should be heroes by stopping their co-workers who are scammers, bullies, reckless imbeciles, and villains. That comes first and foremost in a moral society, far before enforcing penny-ante victimless "crimes" that are, themselves, crimes against the "lawbreakers".

In TWO previous elections, Spanberger was about to lose... Mysteriously, a flash drive with a statistically implausible number of Dem votes appeared...and were somehow counted. I'm sure her party making an electoral audit impossible on DAY ONE is a coincidence.
I'm a Virginian. Democrats in my state to prevent any honest election from ever occurring here again. 1st thing theyre doing. Citizens in other states, take note. If you EVER vote for a Democrat, you are voting away your right to meaningfully vote ever again!
