SEC presidents granted Greg Sankey "full and unlimited authority," which includes suspending a school from competition, sources tell @YahooSports.
In addition to that, league bylaws grant the commissioner powers to deem a player ineligible, suspend coaches/administrators, etc.
The SEC, as expected, adopts a ban on professional players returning to college, which also includes basketball.

If a player signs a legally binding agreement with a school, and there is a legally binding buyout, they should have to pay that buyout.
