This is a little “human or AI?” guessing game.
The project,
@atomiquest , gets replies from Toly pretty often, which reminds me of solana:CGEDT9QZDvvH5GmVkWJH2BXiMJqMJySC9ihWyr7Spump from last year. Not sure why it’s still only sitting at around $60K.
The core of the game is simple: you have to figure out whether a given message was written by a human or generated by AI, but it’s wrapped in a Cold War setting.
The premise is that you’re a Soviet scientist stranded in the Arctic. Every day, you receive a written message supposedly from the Politburo.
The Americans have built a “stochastic parrot” that can imitate the Politburo.
Your job each day is to determine whether the message actually came from the real Politburo or from the American stochastic parrot.
Get it wrong, and you’ll be sentenced to 10–20 years in prison.
“Stochastic parrot” is a classic term in AI discourse, often used as a critique of large language models. The idea is that an LLM merely stitches words together based on probabilities, essentially parroting patterns without truly understanding what it’s saying.
That’s why the title, Politburo or Parrot, is basically a Cold War-themed version of the classic “human or AI?” game.
