Richmond, VA
Governor Spanberger once said gerrymandering "weakens the individual voices that form our electorate." She was right. Rigged maps hurt all of us - no matter who's in charge. Keep our maps honest. Vote NO on April 21st.

Will you pledge not to gerrymander Virginia? Every candidate for office should tell voters where they stand. Fair elections mean voters choose their representatives - not the other way around. Take the No Gerrymandering Virginia pledge: nogerrymanderingva.org/pledg…

Fair maps in Missouri.
#BREAKING: The US Supreme Court stayed the Eighth Circuit and district court orders requiring Missouri to use its 2025 congressional map. Missouri will use its 2022 map in November. The Court told lower courts not to block the 2022 map or require the 2025 map.

The whole fiasco was a waste of voter time and money...
The April redistricting vote that ended up not mattering cost Richmond about $375K because state funding didn't cover all the costs. The election office was facing a budget shortfall, but officials can't or won't explain how they're handling it richmonder.org/state-didnt-s…

It’s primary day in Virginia. We have it today because they tried to gerrymander our state and needed the extra time. Thank goodness it did not succeed. Please enjoy voting in the free and fair districts we have now.

It was stupid and dangerous. Forget the misspellings, this was horrible lawyering by the Attorney General of Virginia. nytimes.com/2026/05/16/us/at…

“It’s not like taking the morally principled stance would have been without cost,” said Brian Cannon, a Democrat who helped lead a group opposing the redistricting amendment. “But it turned out the politically expedient way came with even steeper costs.” nytimes.com/2026/05/09/us/po…

One Democrat who welcomed the decision was Brian Cannon, the man behind the 2020 redistricting amendment that saw Virginia's legislative lines drawn without preference for political party. "Democrats did not need to cheat to win more seats in Congress from Virginia," he told Radio IQ in a text message. "With the court ruling today the Democrats effectively lit over $70 million in campaign funds on fire, along with their credibility." wvtf.org/news/2026-05-08/rep…

🚨Report: Democrats are trying to create a plan that will overturn the Virginia Supreme Court ruling that overturned their map The plan would include lowering the mandatory retirement age for justices from 75 to 54 (or less). Therefore, that would remove every current justice on the court. Then the Democrat majority the state legislature would appoint 7 new justices and they would redraw the map to a 10D-1R map Via: The New York Times

Seems like SCOVA's main holding is that, contrary to the Democratic lawyers' argument, an election starts when people start voting

"A vote this close is not an endorsement of changing the rules. It's a warning that Virginians expect this to be temporary and expect a return to fair redistricting." - Former Delegate William Fralin nogerrymanderingva.org/updat…

At its core, our democracy depends on standing up for every person’s right to cast a vote in a free and fair election. Even when they vote differently than you do. I voted NO today because Virginia has fair maps right now. Voting yes would be a generational step backward on that principle - all in service of gaining a couple extra seats in November. I’ll be voting for Democrats then, but we don't have to rig the rules to win. The blue wave that's coming will be so big it won't matter. This experiment in self-government does require fighting back against Trump. But we have to do it in a way that’s smart, targeted, and actually preserves the democratic norms we’re trying to defend.
