Bukayo Saka and Lamine Yamal are executing the same dribble here. But Yamal's looks more aesthetically pleasing & is rated more Why does Saka's dribble look less aesthetical? It's because he's more of a stop-and-start athlete than Lamine. A Master's Thread 🧵/

I’m really happy my style of analysis is now the dominant meta for seriously discussing football on this site.
I have a golden rule… players with long/big frames should not play #10 except if he has exceptional manipulation relative to his frame which is quite rare to find. A #10 needs elite small space control relative to their frame. The larger the frame, the more exceptional the player’s balance, coordination and manipulation need to be. À smaller and more compact frame naturally has a low COG which gives the right balance for micro adjustments & ball shielding which is vital in the #10 areas (Olmo, Odegaard, Cherki, Silva) What do you need from your #10? — Ball security — Manipulation — Progression — Creation — Spatial intelligence — Final 3rd threat The #10 is essentially the team’s central attacking problem-solver. He receives where space is scarce, often with pressure behind or around him, and is expected to turn that possession into an advantage with minimal time. The physical profile matters because the first four requirements are heavily dependent on small space control. So a compact frame can provide a natural biomechanical advantage. Larger frames like Bellingham, Olise, Palmer, Rogers etc àre biomechanically built to dominate big spaces rather than small spaces. Ask yourself this question: Can you give this player the ball in the most congested area of the pitch and trust him to twist & turn to create an advantage?

Fans never want to admit that the way their team plays is almost entirely down to their squad and not the coach.

Men and women in the dating market are behaving worse than ever because there are only two stable equilibria: either culturally enforced monogamy (cooperate-cooperate) or taking advantage of others for one's selfish pleasure (defect-defect). People increasingly acting like psychopaths is just them finding the new stable equilibrium

Football is an extremely unpleasant industry for staff in general. If powerful head managers are treated like this, imagine how the physios and scouts are getting treated.
🚨🇪🇸 Carlos Cuesta and Parma decide to part ways due to different views in developing the project/transfers and more. Cuesta leaves Parma job after finishing 12th last season as second youngest manager in Serie A history; and 13th now after beating Genoa in his last game. After rejecting several proposals this summer from clubs from abroad, Cuesta now open to new chapter.

City sent a don’t-mess-with-us message to England through Guehi, O’Reilly & Morgan Rogers today.

It’s good City lost Rodri this season to 114 charges. They would have won the league with him and Anderson.

Is it just me or is it not curious that the two major cheating clubs had owners who do not subscribe to Western values?

City cheated. Ridiculous. Unconscionable. People have not really understood what this means. Them getting Guardiola, Yaya, KDB, Kompany, Fernandinho, Nasri, the two Silvas, Aguero and Kevin De Bryune was because they cheated. A false history, a false glory, a false club.

City will attempt to get Eli Junior Kroupi in January or this summer as a Haaland understudy. Arsenal must prevent them from doing so.
Replying to @HimothyReports
a two year transfer ban is expected after this summer.

PL shouldn’t destroy City as a brand asset. They should be stripped of their titles posthumously, heavily fined for several years, with fines distributed to the most affected clubs in 4 UCL positions around them.

People are not fungible resources to be used and discarded. So many fakers & climbers do not understand that.

Low Stakes Relationships: fine, mundane, no risks, easy friendship. High Stakes Relationships: fundamental value differences become critical, ego plays, loyalty, brotherhood. Most low stakes relationships do not survive transitions into high stakes relationships.

Given he is young, there is room for him to maybe fill out some more and add some bulk that can make him physically stable enough to play CF. I’m not super sure, though. Alvarez has more motoring power so he can move his bulk a lot more. Kroupi also has a lean frame.

I believe that Brentford’s recruitment is superior to Brighton’s in every single area except wingers.

Evil.
Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed responds to a visibly upset Iranian-American student at the University of Michigan, telling him that U.S. military interventions, sanctions, and regime-change wars often advance corporate interests and harm civilians, rather than promote democracy and freedom.

You cannot explain why Yamal is better than Roony Bardghji without mentioning physicality.
