Happy National Daughter's Day

Thank you, Sen. James Lankford and Rep. Chris Smith, for introducing resolutions honoring the Hyde Amendment on the eve of its 50th anniversary. Hyde is the most successful life-saving law in modern American history—more than 2.6 million children are alive today because taxpayers are not forced to fund elective abortion. Keep Hyde. Enforce Hyde. Every child is valuable.

Today the Catholic Church declared Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Blessed. He preached the truth: That human beings beget human beings, and the child in the womb is not “scar tissue.” He explained that the question is not when life begins. But who created it. National Right to Life gives thanks for a pastor who never treated the smallest life as disposable.

UN talk that brands pro-life laws as “reproductive violence” is a dangerous lie. A law that refuses to treat a child as waste is not violence. Abortion is. #UNGA

For fifty years, the Hyde Amendment has stood between taxpayer dollars and the destruction of unborn children. National Right to Life helped write it, promoted it, fought for its passage, and has defended it against relentless attacks ever since. We honor Henry Hyde, celebrate this historic safeguard, and remember the millions of children who received the chance to live because Hyde protected them.

Hispanic women undergo abortions at twice the rate of their non-Hispanic white counterparts. Planned Parenthood calls this “access,” but communities do not flourish when their children disappear. Hispanic mothers deserve real support, and Hispanic children deserve the chance to be born. A business that profits from abortion should never define what progress looks like for our families.

A child who survives an abortion has already endured unspeakable violence. Denying that baby warmth, medical care, and the chance to live is not compassion. It is reproductive violence carried to its cruelest end. #UNGA

On Constitution Day, we honor a document written to secure liberty and protect the rights of the people. The Constitution contains no right to abortion, and it never has. No court ruling can transform the deliberate destruction of an innocent human life into a constitutional freedom.

As Hispanic Heritage Month begins, we celebrate a culture rooted in faith, family, sacrifice, and an abiding love for children. Yet for too many Hispanic children in America, the most dangerous place is their mother’s womb. If we cherish our heritage, we must protect those who will carry it forward. Celebrate our culture. Defend our families. Protect every life.

On National Grandparents' Day, we honor the men and women whose love, wisdom, faith, and sacrifice help shape generations. Grandparents know something our culture too often forgets: every child is a gift, every generation matters, and family forms one of the strongest bonds we have.

Today, on the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, we mourn the millions of sons and daughters whose lives ended before birth. They had no voice in the decision that ended their lives. Their lives had value, dignity, and meaning. We remember them. We grieve them. And we renew our commitment to build a nation where every child, born and unborn, receives the protection and love he or she deserves. They will not be forgotten.

Twenty-five years ago, America watched in horror as nearly 3,000 innocent people were murdered on September 11, 2001. Among them were ten mothers carrying unborn children. Those children should be turning 25 this year. They should have had birthdays, families, photographs, memories, hopes, and dreams of their own. Never Forget

On World Suicide Prevention Day, we affirm a truth that must apply to every person: suicide is a tragedy to prevent, never a medical service to provide. Those facing depression, serious illness, disability, or unbearable pain deserve compassionate care, meaningful support, and people committed to helping them live. Assisted suicide does not prevent despair. It surrenders to it.

One year ago, Charlie Kirk was taken from his family, his friends, and a nation he loved by an assassin’s bullet. Today we mourn a husband, a father, a man of deep Christian faith, and a fearless voice for the principles he believed were worth defending.

On National Teddy Bear Day, we remember the simple comfort of a child holding a beloved teddy bear close. And we mourn the more than 65 million unborn children lost to abortion in America since 1973. Children who never had the chance to hold a teddy bear, hear a bedtime story, celebrate a birthday, or feel the arms of a family around them.
