UPDATE: Police in Busia are hunting for a man suspected of kidnapping and murdering three-year-old Evelyne Nabwire, a nursery pupil at Elite Nursery and Primary School. Nabwire was kidnapped from her home in Bubolwa Village, Bulumbi Sub-county, on Thursday. The suspected kidnapper, reportedly a close relative, allegedly demanded a ransom of Shs2 million and threatened to kill her if the money was not paid. The Uganda Police Force has set up roadblocks across the country to enforce traffic restrictions during National Cleaning Day. The mandatory exercise runs from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the last Saturday of every month, with movement of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and water vessels restricted to allow citizens to participate in cleaning activities.
