LLM coding drastically changed the tradeoffs of programming languages. The human oriented ergonomics of many languages is now a liability rather than advantage

C is the way IMHO. LLMs write incredibly better C than any other language. You pay Rust abstraction costs even when you don't touch it yourself, AI allows to change design and evolve continuously so the smallest friction to change design ideas, the better.

That's a very different goal. E.g. what's the point of clojure now?

Exactly. I think it's a good idea to start thinking of your codebases as being written FOR agents, not FOR humans. But this opens up a whole new rabbit hole, why not use Assembly or some other coding language that's much better for agents and much worse for humans. Where does it end?
